Famous last words before you blow up!

words just before anger - last words said before anger

Now you listen to me… I think that is mine. The words I utter just before I cross the point of no return. Where all sensibility escape from me and I let anger do all the talking (and yelling). It means I’m already not listening to all other explanations and only want mine heard. What is yours? Or do you even have one? Or are you the type to go quiet when you get angry? Even so, do you say anything just before you clam up? Like a warning to whoever you are having an argument with, that you’re at the end of your leash and couldn’t think straight anymore. Or is it just one big blurr?

I don't blow up - only on a few occasions if something affected my children. But toi my children I would call them by their full names and say 'Listen very carefully, because I am saying this only once'. They listened

Haha! You remind me of my mom. As soon as she calls me or my brother with our full names, then we knew that we were in trouble. Thanks.

Sometimes the words that I say are almost incoherent when my temper is at the point of flying off the handle... But I think my words are in the nature of threats/warning. To stop talking or saying those words that are unpleasant to my ear, or else suffer the pain of my nasty temper and harsh words (which I will surely regret once I've calmed down). I try to control my temper when the person that I'm talking to is member of my family or close friend. But I also warn them that I don't want to talk about it because the topic is really pissing me off. If they refuse, I try (rudely) to change the topic so that they can take the hint. :p

That's a bit scary! You don't have a jump off point before temper is lost? Maybe you have, but it just may vary on different situations. But in the first place, I couldn't imagine anybody who would want to pick an argument with you. Considering what you do for a living!

I don't have a phrase. I don't lose control. In fact I feel I Gain control when I'm angry. I saw What I mean and Mean what I say. I usually say my piece and then walk away and plot the perfect revenge. There isn't a warning sign. At time I wish I could wear a shirt that says Warning? I go from nice to b!tch in 6 seconds!

I think a man who's voice gets quiet when he is angry is scary! You are ok. We are friends and we are both considerate of each other. No Worries. I heard the b!tch in 6 seconds somewhere and I thought That's me!

Remind me not to pick an argument with you sarah. I said in a previous response (up there), that people who turn quiet are more scary than those who yak. Now I think that people who plot perfect revenges are even more scary. I go from nice to b!tch in 6 seconds! That's actually a nice saying on a shirt.

""OK , THAT IS ENOUGH, NOW YOU SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO ME"", yes this is what I say and I think when I am saying this the opposite person can see it in my hard eyes, because I have noticed that when I utter these words, it does work, as the person really shuts down an listens to me ..Usually I don't loose my temper, but if I did , then I look and sound like real devil. Nice discussion.

yes bounce58, I think unspoken expression in the eyes is more revealing than spoken words. Thanks for reading my comment.

It sounds very complete, and it does grab attention. I could just imagine somebody saying this, coupled with a 'look' that says anger, then anybody at the receiving end should just back off. Thanks.

Hello blue_raine. I'd hate to know what those words of yours are after you say WILL YOU PLEASE STOP. And I'd hate to be at the receiving end of that look. Thanks.

Look - Usually if I get to this point and you know me directly once I use the word LOOK you know I am at my wits end. However it does these days take quite a bit to anger me as I have ironed all or at least trying to iron out all negativity in my life. Just not worth getting frustrated these days as I have so much going and well why waste any energy and or effort or petty things.

Well, at least there is still that warning. Even if it takes a while these days. I hope that the people close to you know this. So that they would know to back off as soon as they hear this word. Thanks!

Hello chiyosan. I would rather think that a sigh is more of an act of giving up. Maybe you just haven't noticed it, because as you said, you rarely blow up. I think that's good and better for your stress levels. Thanks for dropping by.

I go quiet. You have to really get in my face to get me to blow up. I do get snippy before that, and you can hear it in my voice though.

There's a saying... Silent waters run deep. I think that's appropriate for people who go quiet when they get angry. And deep could mean how deep the anger is. Thanks.

Shut up! ... This is what makes me feel comfortable when someone scares me out of hell! Usually I would just shut up and go but lately some cases happen and I run out of my mind and blow up this word. Sorry I cannot stand all the noisy and talkings in the cyber cafe.

Did you just say 'shut up!' to all the people in the cyber cafe? That would be really funny. When you're answering a discussion on line, and you had to do the real thing where you are, because people are pissing you off. Thanks!

Well before I blow up,I normally say LEAVE ME ALONE!then if the person I am dealing with still don't listen to me then it's time to blow up.

Hello insulin. I guess the 'leave me alone' is more for the others listening. When you say it, others should get away, so that when you blow up, your anger would be just for the person pissing you off. Thanks.

Great! Very original! I think I might even steal this. That's if I could remember this when I get pissed off. Thanks Jen!

I cuss....in French lol. Then you know Im about to speak my mind and it wont be nice or tell you to leave my house. But lately I tend to remain calm. No use getting angry at someone. I'll just turn around and leave. I feel much better now too. :)

Hey, you've got an unfair advantage! I think French sounds cool(sexy). It doesn't matter if you're saying something nice or cussing, it still sounds great. Merci!

mine would be "you know what..." and the rest of it can get really scary. lol! with me, i know the time im going to blow is when my sight darkens and blurs. once it happens, there's no turning back. i shut my eyes for a split second and there it goes. its going to be a a major word vomit and i won't regret doing so. but this happens really seldom.

It's funny you mentioned about the sight getting dark and blurry. I think I have the same sensations just before I get angry. And for a split second I forget everything and just want to let my anger out. Until I regain my wits and regret what I just did. Thanks.
