Sometimes changes that occur to make a superhero fit the times is not always such a great idea. As sure it will draw in a younger crowd but then the fad erases with time.
So my personal opinion is that there will never be a great hipper superman as the ole legend himself.

I have read several alternative superman stories, the most memorable was Red Son.. The story is what would have happened if superman capsule landed in soviet Russia instead of Kansas.
I won't know if I like it until I see the work. I'll get back to you.

Ehhh... I don't like the red eyes. I wouldn't trust that guy to serve Truth, Justice, and the American way. But as the article says, this graphic novel isn't going to be replacing the superman image all across the board... just for the graphic novel.
I actually really like the Wonder Woman makeover, so I'm all up for some changes to our favorite superheroes.
