I love apples but it's too expensive here in the Philippines. I wish I can live in a place near an apple plantation. I always heard some people say that apples are good for your health. I am not sure of it but how about that? is it really true? they even said that an apple a day will keep the doctors away. Just want some ideas from others who really had the experience of it.

I believe that all fruit is good for us, not just apples. An apple a day keeps the doctor away is what we were taught as children, but I think it was to keep us eating fruit.

Fruits in general are healthy as well as veggies. They have a lot of vitamins, minerals and fiber. You should eat them raw, if possible.
As for apples, specially if they are expensive in your country, I would not buy them. Here in mylot I have read posts about your country and you are blessed with the amount of good fruits you have at low prices. Eat those.
On my last vacations I went to the far north of my country. They have mangos there and we don´t have them here. I drank a mango with milk every day instead of coffee. I felt like a princess. That taste was suited for gods!
Apples are just another fruit. Good but they are only overrated in countries where they don´t have the climate to grow other delicious fruits.
In my country we export fruits (apples too). I mostly buy them to cook. They are not THAT wonderful!
Take care!

I bet, it is. I've heard that from many people too that apple is good for health. Some people eat apple as their supper. I wish we are neighbors because as of now we have lots of apples given by a friend. We just put it in the box an can not be put in the ref because they are lots. Since it is cold now, am sure they will not be ruined anyway.

true apple is a good fruit: nutritional scientists research that verify how apples are good for our health, apples are rich in pectin, a soluble fiber, which is effective in lowering cholesterol levels. apples work in any form, from raw to juice, to maintain good cardiovascular health. researchers found that apples act as antioxidants against the damaging portion of cholesterol in the blood stream. many researchers suggest that people who eat fatty foods should, if possible, wash down this food with apple juice rather than the usual drink.

Most fruits are good for you I dont know many fruits that
arent good for you. I know apples are good for you because even
the doctor recommends them. Also i saw a article on them a while ago that
said that eating apples helps regulate your blood sugar.
So i say buying them is good even tho apples are rather pricy. Your health is
priceless.

Hello Celestial! Sorry for the late reply to your post. I would say it depends how we are looking after our own health to keep away from the doctors. But in the other hand, eating an apple a day is proven to help your immune system strong and your body healthy. Let me share it to you I have a friend here who is in his 50's and he told me he had never been to the hospital for sickness the last time his mother brought him to the hospital was just to have him vaccinated. Everyday he eats atleast two apples and drink plenty of water, now he still looks like he is in his thirties. They have an apple tree in their garden so anytime he wants to eat an apple there it is. But when eating apple you should peel it. Thanks for reading and enjoy your day po!

Ya apple is good for health, rich in vitamins and is a good antioxidant for the free radicals that generated inside our body.
As we all know that, during the process of food digestion, a lot of free radicals will be generated in the same time, these free radicals will go to destroy our body tissue and let us get old and organ function decrease. With eating of apple, the vitamin inside can act as antioxidant to counteract with these free radicals, keep us healthy always. Health always and happy mylotting.
