What is a friend to you?

There is a saying that friend in need is a friend indeed. Whenever, I make a friend and he claims that he would be a true friend to me, I put him through a simple test. Of course I do not act mean but I do things that might hurt him. It is then he reveals his true nature. Thus, I know whether he is a person to be retained as friend or not. As you said corrects you when you are wrong and laughs with your jokes is okay. However, the one who shares your sorrows as well is your true friend.

I think a friend is someone who at your side in the happy and in the sad moments, someone who try to help you. Someone who gives you support to reach your dreams and advise you when you are in need or when you are doing something wrong.

A friend to me is someone who has a similar sense of humor to me. It is also someone who sees me through my flaws, and accepts me as I am without later judging me for them. I cannot be friends with someone who takes life too seriously, but then again, I cannot be friends with someone who is too careless. They need to be balanced, but goofy. If that makes sense.
