Is Green Tea available in India ?

Green Tea. - Though the green tea and black tea are leaves of same plant, Camellia sinensis. only the processing makes the difference.EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant found in tea leaves.Green tea leaves are steamed, which prevents the EGCG compound from being oxidized. By contrast, black tea leaves are made from fermented leaves, which results in the EGCG being converted into other compounds that are not nearly as effective in preventing and fighting various diseases.

Hi Indian friends, I am reading more and more health benefits of Green tea.So I am thinking of taking Green tea instead of black tea.In our shops what we normally find is the black tea. Do you drink green tea ? Is it available in India ?

Yes.You are correct. I am presently in U.S. Here In Walmart,I saw our Indian made Green tea.(Lipton Brand ) So it should be available in India too. Happy mylotting.

Hi friend, Yes its available in Super markets and even in some of Departmental stores or retail outlets.. you can just enquire in the shop whether green tea is available or not.. There are many brands as well..

Not living in India, I wouldn't have a clue if green tea is available, but if not, don't be surprised if it is eventually. I don't like tea, so I don't drink any.

Yes,I do drink green tea.It is available in India at all the leading stores.
