Hi youless, I had read the news about the pass away of Octopus Paul yesterday night. I shared this sad news with my hubby as well. I believe thousands of Paul fans would feel really grieved and heart broken knowing that the most popular and excellent predictor of the latest World Cup tournament held in Africa 2010, had left us forever Rest in peace Paul..... When talking about Paul, his lovely appearance as well as the fish tanks and different national flags of the countries to be predicted occurring in my mind obviously. At that time I did some online searching about Paul as I love him and tend to learn more about him. I learn that the lifespan of an octopus is short. Paul was born ( hatched from an egg ) in the year of 2008 in England and then moved to the tank and grown up in Germany. Hope to see the new outstanding generation from Paul family to continue its accurate prediction achievement... Have a nice day

youless, Like all living things, we have life expectancy and as such we all have to meet our end. It is sad to loose a delightful aquarium friend but we should not let this parting get into our heads. However, before moving on, I hope that we remember to cherish life and our close ones around us. Take care always and have a nice day.

youless, I must agree here and not forgetting Euro 2008 too. Anyway, I am sure he will be well remembered for his acutely accurate predictions by all his fans especially the betting ones.

I still regard that Paul's predictions are coincidence, but somewhat it gives us a lot of entertainment. It is very impressive.
