It's been 10 years since the first PS2 came out. Do you still play with yours?

Today marks the 10th year since the Playstation 2 console came out. I really love this console. Of all the gaming consoles I've ever owned, only the PS2 survived for a long time. I've been playing games on that console for a good 5 years already. I have yet to upgrade my system since I rarely find time to play games since I'm always on the go. But even if I did, I'm pretty sure I'll still play with my PS2. Some of my most favorite games are there: Metal Gear Snake Eater, God Of War, Shadow Of The Colossus, the Burnout series... and more.
How about you guys? Do you still play with your PS2? What are your favorite games? :)

Yeah i still play with my PS2, i take good care of it although a bit dusty it still works perfectly.
I like playing Resident Evil 4 and fighting games like WWE smackdown vs raw series, tekken series and mortal kombat.
These are my all around favourites on Playstation 2

lol its not that scary actually. Since you get to kill them and shoot them until they dropped on the ground.
You should try Fatal Frame 1 lol. Play it at night with your lights out and volume aloud lol.

Oh yeah, I've heard about Fatal Frame and how scary it is. I've seen gameplay vids on youtube and I really think it's very scary! ...which is why I'm probably never gonna play that game. hehehehe.

My PS2's all dusty as well. :) Ooooh Resident Evil 4! I never got past the first stage... I get too scared when I play that game. hehehehe.

I've had my Playstation 2 for eight years now and it's still in perfect working order. Part of it is probably due to the fact that I've never been much of a heavy gamer so I was never one to use it hour on end like some of my friends. I still use it to play games once in a while since there are a lot of games I like on this console. My favorite PS2 games are Final Fantasy X, Guilty Gear, and some others. I also like to play a bunch of my old Playstation games on there like Tales of Destiny II, the older FF games, and Legend of Mana.
On a side note, when it's not being used to play games my PS2 works as a wonderful DVD player for all my movies.

I'm actually not much of a gamer. I'm more of a collector of video games. My brother is usually the one that plays with all the games I buy. Unfortunately, I haven't played either of those games but I've heard many good things about them. I've wanted to try the Persona game because I recently saw an anime series that was based on one of the games. As for Grandia, I've only played the one that was on the Dreamcast system which was pretty good.

I think the one on Dreamcast was the same game on the PS1. It was an awesome game. I never got to finish it though. :p But I remember having a grand time when I played it. The story was awesome. :)

I see that you're a big RPG fan. :) Did you also play Parasite Eve and Persona? I love those games. :) Legend Of Mana was an awesome game too... another favorite of mine was Garandia, although I played that on the PS1... I never got to try the PS2 follow up but I heard great things about that game. :)

My son was all about having playstation. when he first got his, he played it all of the time. He even got the playstation 2 as well. then xbox came along. He doesn't use playstation as much anymore since he plays his xbox more.@thebassdude (342)

Yeah that is always the case. :) Once you change systems you almost always never look back. :) The xbox is also a great system with a great catalog of games. :)

I also have ps2 and been using it for 7 years now. I still play games with it like nba 2k, smackdown vs raw, resident evil 4, metal gear 3, rumble roses, and the guy game. For me, it has a decent graphics compared to ps1. I won't be letting go of it pretty soon.

hahaha I also have The Guy Game! :p That game is hilarious. :) Do you also have You Don't Know Jack? That quiz game is awesome as well. :)
I remember when the forst 2K game came out. I was totally blown away by the game play. The NBA Live series was fun yes, but the realism of 2K's game play was unheard of back then. It was totally engrossing. :)

Yeah i have alot of games i still play for the ps3 like tekken 5, tekken 4, dragon ball z games, naruto games, resident evil 4, some racing games crash bandicoot games xD there alot of them i like still and play :)
