You will most likely pay a fine, but by going to court you are exercising your right as a citizen and will probably pay a lesser amount than what the ticket was issued for.

Plus costs? What are the legal costs of taking such a case to court? What are the costs to you in terms of lost income from days off work?

You were actually speeding right? (If not, it might be worth fighting it).
Bad luck. Pay the fine. Don't do it again.

If you have some specific evidence to prove you weren't speeding, you might win your case. If you don't, the court will believe the traffic officer, so you might as well just pay.

Speeding tickets can be so annoying. Sometimes i think it is better to just pay the fine. fighting it in court can be more trouble than it is worth. I don't think we gain much by dragging it out when we end up losing to it anyway.

I think it's better if you just pay the fine. It's not worth the time bringing it into trial. You'll need witnesses and all that. Plus, i think You'll be charged a lot more than just paying the fine.

If you are guilty, lets say of going 40mph in a 25mph, you might be wise to just pay the fine, and just determine for yourself to be more responsible for how fast you go. If there are circumstances though that might change the outcome for your breaking the law, and the judge may agree with your reasoning as to why you were speeding, then by all means protest it, maybe you will get off.
