Why use facebook and spend a lot of hours online?

I online most likely 6 hours a day.Why?because of Facebook i'm updated to latest happening with my friends. I also have to chat with them and stuff. It was really nice they discover facebook because we can access easily our friends and love ones :0

it's because I got a lot of fun to share with my friends over there :)

I think its because near enough everyone is on the social networking site so people use to keep in contact with old and new friends. I do use it for games aswell myself but i'm not on it all day as it would get boring and obviously i have other things to do in the day than sit on facebook all day. I can imagine some people do though.

It's really down to what enjoyment people get from the site, I think it's important that people enjoy what they do and I don't get why some people find Facebook interesting to the point that they only visit that site but it's really a matter of what they prefer. I personally only spend x amount of time on Facebook. I could spend all day on it, some people use it to chat and that might take time.

More than the games, I'd say it's the chance of meeting friends and other people to chat with. basically, Facebook is becoming a place where people meet, sort of a digital square or a digital bar: you go there and you're sure to meet one or more friends to spend time with. Once you probably had a meeting point somewhere in your city; now this is becoming the more and more digital, at least in westerner countries. That's why Facebook attract so many people: because it's the virtual place where everyone goes.

This is because the peoples around us are using it , almost can't live without it ! My friends , my family , my teacher even my younger sister also using it everyday , So , you ask why ? I can't answer you because all of us using it !

Later did I know facebook when few friends whom I meet or call ask for my facebook account, that forces me to create one. Later, I did realize that almost all my friends, including my neighbors, relatives, and colleague is already on the site. It was good thing as well, that me and my former classmates were reunited once again through this social network. Another thing that most people get in the site everyday is the game application and the like.
