How frequently do u scan ur computer for viruses?

Do we need to scan a computer every day for viruses in order to keep it healthy? Just had this question because we are connected to internet almost everytime we are in front of our computer so the chances of getting viruses is higher.

I set the antivirus software auto-scan my computer every Sunday 12pm,
because that time I normally will not use computer but open it and let it running the window although I din't use it ..
And the site I visited normally will not cause my computer infected by virus ..
So I won't worry about the virus..hehe

Yes for sure I use avg every day and have it set to auto scan in the middle of the night so it does not interrupt my work. Without frequent scans your computer can quickly get infected and run much slower than normal. For the most part I think that everyone should have anti virus software on their computer in order to have a safe reliable computer to use.Without the software you could become the victim of cyber crime and have your identify or credit card number stolen.

Great. Thats a real nice idea to scan the computer late at nite when its not in use. N i totally agree with u as the viruses or malware can make ur comp run slow n spoil ur data n privacy too... Do u have registered AVG version or a free version. My experience with AVG isnt pleasant... Sometimes it ends up showing any file as a virus and keeps deleting thm... I lost some of my files due to AVG :(

u should use Avira Antivirus. It keep your computer clean, event your computer get affected with some virus or trojan, Avira can deleted it rightaway but not del u file. Just kick some shjt away

I scan mine at least once a week, just to make sure I'm okay. I also update my antivirus before I scan.

Hi friend ,for normal user scanning is not needed everyday.Just scan the system weekly once or two weeks once.But if u r a regular internet user,u must scan ur computer weekly twice.Because there is lots of website containing virus

normally if i use windows os i can scan periodically or at least 1 time per month!!So surely scanning and be update as regards your security software is the ebst way to stay way from viruses and other threats

I'll scan my computer daily for any viruses,usually during night time up to morning when I'm sleeping.But I'm not worried much about viruses since I got two antivirus in my computer that provides excellent protection to me.I'm using AVG 9 and Microsoft Security Essentials.
