What kinds of clothes do you have?

I have just about every kind. Why? Because I've worked so many jobs and each one required different clothes. So I have a week's worth of most types of clothing. I used to buy clothes I liked. It's been ages since I did that. Now I buy clothes I have to have. What clothes do you have to have for work? activities? What clothes would you like to have?

I wear only sarees and this is my normal wear at home and when I go out. However, I use a maxi/nightie at night , a soft cotton one because I find it difficutl to sleep otherwise.I love sarees and have a splendid collection.THis is my weakness.

Yes.It is a very graceful attire and makes a person feel good too.Only thing, is for people who are not used to wearing them , it becomes a difficult proposition because they will get submerged in the folds.

I am casual everyday since I don't work. Retired last year. I am a bluejean and tennis shoe person 7 days a week. If something special comes up, I dress accordingly. We have several holiday parties in Dec. and one in Jan. I have suits, heels, dresses and boots to fit any occasion. I would prefer to go to these parties in jeans but that won't always work. I like being comfy.

2 1/2 years, I retire "the first time" as my husband puts it. Maybe then I will work one part time job or find something that actually fits me and do it part time. I'm not really a t-shirt person. Jeans, yeah, I guess. Probably I'll retire to jeans and flannel shirts. Summer sun dresses except in the garden when no one can see me. Then maybe the t-shirts. Because of my back and my feet, I won't wear real heals any more and I won't wear those crazy ones that are almost as many inches as your foot is long. I don't really have any holiday parties any more.Square Dancing, we had to give up because of my husband's hips and breathing. Haven't been to any parties since 2004. Went to a wedding. Should have gone to two weddings, but never got back to someone about our address which is just as well. We only had money for one wedding. Two weddings in one month and trying to winterize the house, no way we could do that. I wish we had a party to go to. But since that would mean more clothes, I'm glad we don't. Take care and enjoy your retirement and parties.

In the winter I am definitely a sweater or sweatshirt person. Depends on where I am going.

Hi, Edge! I not only have clothes of every sort I can imagine, I have them in a variety of sizes, since my weight is a never-ending struggle. Even though my house and its closets are huge, I have too many things to fit. Now that I've retired, I think I'll go through it all and have a yard sale! I'd love to have some of those gorgeous winter clothes I see in magazines, but it just doesn't get cold enough here!

Like you, my weight has cycled a lot. One year I sent several bags of clothes to another state to a shelter our church sponsors, because someone was going, and it was too impractical to keep hanging on to things. I have bought a lot of my clothes second hand, so it does not hurt that much to let them go. Even though Kansas gets cold, I still do not feature me wearing very many of the really heavy clothes.

I'm washing a lot of clothes and sending them to a church 2nd hand store. Only ones that don't fit. I have an 1800s house and I'm lucky I have any closets. Actually only two real ones, one upstairs and one down. But small. I have clohtes piled up all over the place.

I have a few clothes, we travel a lot so I try to stick with a certain style, shorts, graphic tees, flip-flops, its been my wardrobe for the last three years. I used to have a lot of clothes but styles change and it too hard to dress like today's youth, in my opinion, they don't know fashion they just know how to be sheep to one. If I could live in a swimsuit I would.

You must be in a warm place. We have to have clothes here for three seasons (spring and fall can have the same weight clothes). I would love to have just one season of clothes. That would cut down my $ needed for clothing, coats, boots, and ski pants are very expensive. Thanks and take care.

I used to feel that way, too and I hope to feel that way again. But when you have to quickly "gear up" for job after job, clothing shopping gets tiring. Then I'll find my style again. Thanks and take care.

I have a lot of clothes but sometimes I feel like I don't have enough.. Haha.. Anyway, I have almost all types of clothes that I need. We don't wear uniform in our workplace nor is the management too strict with regard to office attire so we're free to wear any kind of clothes we want as long as they're not outlandish or revealing. I also have different clothes for different occasions, and at times costumes, like for our Halloween Party.

Good! Must be nice to have a Halloween Party to go to. Glad you're able to wear what you want as long as it is reasonable at work. Thanks and take care.

I have lots of black pants. Several jobs required those.I have several khaki pants, same reason. I cleaned out my closet and sent things away recently, and I still have way too many clothes. I have things I can layer, very thin long sleeved shirts to go under other clothes. Lots of tanks to go under other shirts. Not working right now, and my longest term job did not call for any "uniform" type clothes, hence the layering clothes. I prefer to not have high necks, even t shirts can feel like they choke me, so I have lots of scoop neck shirts, so in winter I wear long sleeves under them, in summer, tanks under. I have sweaters, and hoodies. Some of them have logos, so I am working to decorate them to cover up the logos. Jeans have never been my most favorite, but I have some, and will wear them when appropriate.

I have way too many clothes here and as I was them, I'm sending some to a church store and some I'm putting away. Fall and Spring are great for that kind of activity. Just wish I wasn't working during clothes line days and was working during rainy and windy ones. If I had put clothes out this AM, they'd be in another state or country by now.

I bet you did well with $50 at Good Will getting tops. We don't have Good Will here. We have Salvation Army store and lots of different church stores or seond hand consignment shops. I had a friend who lived near a good will in another state and she really liked it.

I have mostly casual stuff. I am retired and on benefits due to medical crap so I don't need anything real nice. I have one outfit if I really have to dress up. I am over weight so I don't allow myself anything real expensive or nice. It is like I am being chastised for doing something wrong. In my mind I don't deserve anything real nice. I want to be about 140-150 but I am about 280. Ugh!

I'm at 180 and should be 130 to 140 so join the club. I don't buy anything very nice for most of the jobs. Thank goodness for 2nd hand shops or it wouldn't pay me to have all these different temporary jobs.

I have tons and tons of dress clothes. Slacks, blouses, sweaters, etc. It's ironic because I don't really have a job where I can wear them (hopefully one day though! One day soon!) At my current job, I CAN swear dress slacks, khakis, black/grey jeans, sweats..Anything but blue jeans, and I have to wear either the company sweater, hoodie, or the company polo shirt. It's kind of ironic that I have all of these dress up blouses but no chance to wear them at work. LOL! I also have a lot of workout gear, and I also have a lot of casualwear - like jeans, "party tops", hoodies, etc. I just have a lot of clothes in general I suppose. lol.

I've seen saris and I do believe I have a general idea of what they are, but what is a salwar kameez? That one I don't know at all. Do you have a link with a picture of one or some? Do you have a picture of one that you can upload to this discussion? You have me curious. Thanks and take care.

I'm like you I have lots of different clothes. I wear jeans or wind pants and Tshirts most of the time. But I also have some slacks for just a little bit more "dressed." Then I also have some nice suits in case I have a speaking engagement!

i like jeans and tank tops, paired with slipper. this is my favorite outfit ever since i was in high school. i like long sleeves or sweatshirts but i only wear these kind of style when i'm working. i like wearing laid back style, free-flowing tops. i sometimes wear shorts and minis paired with loose shirts and pair of slippers.

I wear cheap suits and dress clothing mostly. I don't like t-shirts and jeans. I don't have any work clothes. I just wear what I normally wear to work. Some people complement me on my dress. I try to keep as clean as possible. People respect you more when you dress nice even if they're not expensive clothes.

Very true. I wear only freshly cleaned clothes every dayh. I like pants suits that are inexpensive and I have a few of those. But some jobs want different clothes from what I had a lot of, oh well. Thanks and take care.

Since i am a student, the clothes in my wardrobe are probably the kinds you would get at flea markets and street shops. But don't be mistaken that they're all torn or tattered just because they're cheap. They are actually really nice outfits, to me of course. Going to school, i would have to have a different set of clothing everytday, and getting my clothes for cheap bargains, i think it is worth it for me. Maybe when i land a good job in the future, i might be able to afford more better quality clothing and maybe even some branded ones, hehe. ;)

That's where I have to get all my clothes. This crazy buying new clothes for every temporary service job is nuts! They only take nice clothes at our area second hand places, too. I didn't know there were people that still believe the clothes from those places are bad. We do have to watch out at the Salvation Army because I don't think some of the volunteers there can see stains. Thanks and take care.
