cats have rabies,me friend was bitten by her cat and it did not bleed so she ignore it after 2 days she had high fever and jaw-locked, she was rushed to the hospital and was told that she got rabies. She had several anti-rabies injection and went well again. I guess she should made the bite bleed to flush out the rabies and clean it with soap and water.

yes, cats also do have rabies. This was what my children's pedia told me. So, if you're bitten by a cat, its better to consult your doctor before its too late.

Depend in what country you live in. We don't have rabies in Australia. However, cats have some poison in their saliva, and you should desinfect the wound. But besides that, you got very little to worry about. Dogs and cats are usually vaccinated to prevent them getting rabies.

Cats can get rabies, heck, there was a horse a few years back that had it. do you KNOW the cat? do you know the owners if the cat is a stray, you might want to get it checked, and make sure you have shots if you think it might...

Yes all animals included cats have rabies. I'll tell you my daughter had scratched the nails of cat inside her eyes but thanks God it does not affect her sight. She got wounded inside and blood flows really makes scared that she cannot open her eyes the whole night. We prayed hard for her safety until morning. Then right after the sunrise we go to our friend for hep to see and cure my daughter. Thanks God that she can pulled out the rabies and she told us to bring her to doctor of eye specialist. So we followed her order and we brought her to doctor and the result was negative. He advice us to bought an eye drop only no antibiotic. Just eye drops. But before we reach our friend the half face of my daughter was swollen and red. As everybody can see it has poisoned by the rabies. But because we pray hard to HIm she was save. Thanks to God.

Yep. Cats can acquire rabies from rats. Other animals besides from dogs are rabbits, bats and foxes. You have to get a shot before it's too late. It is hard to monitor a cat because they wander everywhere.

Yes all animals and people can get rabies. Except maybe fish lol. But you would be able to visibly tell. The animal would be acting wild and out of hand, maybe white foamy stuff coming from it's mouth. Most likely it didn't have rabies. But cats do have a kind of poison in their saliva I think, and if they scratch you good with dirty nails it's even worse. If it drew blood make sure to clean it out well and keep antibiotic ointment on it.
