Body stretch marks are those "scratch" like marks we have in our skin. They are undesirable especially for ladies. It is not quite a pretty good sight if you have some stretch marks on your skin. Now, I will admit that I do have one at the lines of my front legs and at the middle of my tummy. Thr stretch mark that I am talking about or I have is due to my pregnancy. After having my first baby, I have the first signs of my stretch mark. I am a petite lady before I was pregnant with my first kid but then, I gain more and more fat pounds when I got pregnant. Why? because I was eating heavily and was enjoying too much food for me and my baby. After delivery of my first kid, My body slowly adapted and goes back little by little to my original body frame... And oh my... Those stretch marks did not leave their marks there. The stretch marks did not go away as some friends say it is temporary only. My pregnancy stretch marks completely shows after the next year. And during those times, I got pregnant again to my second kid after 2 years. Well, those stretch marks become more visible and the lines got more lengthy. At present day, my kids are now 3 and 1, and those stretch marks did not leave my body. It is slowly giving me a low confidence since it is quite embarrassing to have those lines and marks. I can not simply wear a non-jean attire since my stretch marks would be should when I wear skirt. It is really annoying and I can not get into the dress and shape that I would like to be as usual. Now, can you share me some tips on how I can deal with this? Any ideas how I can visibly hide it? If I use concealer, any recommended one? And have you experience the same as mine that you have stretch marks even if it is past you pregnancy? Please I need some of the advise and opinion that you might share regarding this... Have a nice day!

Hate to say it, but stretch marks are forever. Cocoa butter and aloe vera can minimize the appearance of them temporarily though. And in a year or so, when your body fully recovers and your skin grows even tighter, they will be less noticeable. But they will never fully go away. Although there's a newer Brazilian method of correcting them called fractional laser resurfacing. Doctors use a laser to create microscopic wounds along the stretch marks. Your body then responds by producing new collagen and epithelium, improving the appearance by 75%. But it's relatively pricey, and not covered by most medical insurances. Instead of trying to make them go away, rub some cocoa butter on them, use Dermablend's Leg and Body Cover, and then throw on a short skirt and flaunt them!

Hi ChampagneGiggles, First...Nice avatar name! About your advice, yes I agree that these are the things that I can try. I do believe in certain point, I should consult a beauty and skin clinic professional's advice. I may only eliminate it as they say but in other portion of it, it are still visible traces. My husband said to me that he think the best option so far is to use a skin cream but later on try the beauty and skin clinic since my marks are more or less are unwanted and to be eliminated as clear as possible and as we can get. Yes, I had heard about the laser treatment procedure you have shared here but cost a little pricey as the option but worth trying. Thanks for dropping by at this discussion.

Hi chiyosan, Good news that it worked for your friend. I have tried that also but it never work for me. I was a petite lady and has a medium built frame so when I got pregnant, my tummy got the extended elasticity it can get producing my stretch marks but I really thank got that I delivered normal to my two kids considering my body frame. And of course, non-normal deliver is more expensive and will leave a scar. But I do hope that I would be able to do some aerobic exercises and then add it with some liquid catalyst to apply on my outer skin area of my tummy then I do hope it would work. Thanks for the friendly advice though...

Hi! i am also a mother of 4 kids, i use to remember some of fellas, that having stretch marks is really annoying and it can be obtain after pregnancy... i remember saying them to get away of those marks you should not scratch your belly while being pregnant or else you can use comb instead of your nails in scratching to avoid that marks... I do what they say and thanks to them... i have none after all for my 2 kids.. But on my 3rd kid it happens that i can resist the itch that i used to scratch it with my bare hands... i have that mark now... All i do is to put some cream aloe vera jelly or deodorant stick for that stretch mark... and it works. One thing, is you can't forever hide those marks... i suggest to drink aloe vera gel, from forever living for overall scar healing, jelly or deodorant stick (FLP prod)... or else try to seek doctor for laser mark removal..

Hi cassije74, Nice to hear about your shared story. Maybe worth trying. You know as what they say, compatibility with products would give you the effectiveness of the routine you like to try about. And your suggestion will be worth trying. So you have 4 kids... God bless... Thank you for sharing your advice on this discussion. I will scheck the product you say if it is indeed available.

i suggest a cocoa butter. i think that is available in some beauty stores or pharmacies. my friend used that at Watson's and it was about P500 but she used it for a long time because it's quite much emolient and can also be used for scars.
