Women have been using birth control pills for years. As with any medication, there can be dangers. Nothing is ever 100%. there can be side effects. Birth control pills don't affect all women in the same ways. A wise decision is to consult your doctor with any birth control pill concerns.

I totally agree with sender621. I have once read that even after prolonged usage of pills and then completing abandoning them for years can help you recoup from all the side effects. But then if there is weight gain I am not aware of. It is always better to consult a doctor. Besides once in a while is ok anytime unless it becomes a habbit.

It sure did, you can get different type of side effects stated in the package, but you will stay alive. Some side effect can be mild while other can be painful. Use it at your own risk, it is stated clearly on the label. It is not as safe as you want to believe.

If your body responded with it well, then it's good for you. Some have side effects cause it is not suited for their body system. But all are effective and can really make you safe in getting pregnant. Take all the precautions when you are taking it, age is very important. The young and the old ones are at the risk of getting bad side effect (younger than 20's and older than 35)

The birth control pill is a kind of medicine. And medicines will somewhat have side effects. I have heard that birth control pills have many advantages, however, it also have side effects. Such as gaining weight, growing more freckles, becoming emotional and so on.

Side effects might vary a little depending on what you are taking. The one that I am currently taking is very safe. I don't really think that there are many side effects, or at least they are not very obvious and they don't come to mind. Generally, birth control pills are pretty safe.

A few common side effects of birth control pills include nausea, spotting between periods, and headache. Several factors play a role in determining which side effects are likely (or unlikely) to occur, including the strength of the estrogen, the type of progestin, and the dose of progestin. Certain birth control pill side effects are more serious and require immediate medical attention, such as depression, pain in the calf, and migraines.

Dependent upon the birth control method chosen, spotting may occur. Some contraceptives eliminate bleeding for months in a row, while others may cause spotting during the first few months of usage and decrease over time. It is important to discuss all of your options with a licensed healthcare professional. Living a healthy lifestyle that includes regular exercise, a well-balanced diet and not smoking can greatly reduce your chances for serious side effects and increase the effectiveness of the birth control.
