Do you just wish to get the job done or tend to be a perfectionist ....

That is the question that is posed to individuals who needs to accomplish a lot of things and meet a lot of deliverables. Do you therefore try to dot your 'i' and cross your 'T' or make sure that every screw in a cupboard is really tight before you consider a job done? Or you will pass up the job as long as you have addressed the issues at hand, checked and move on to the next task. I am more inclined towards the latter. Your views please.

hi carpediem I tend towards the perfecionist side as I feel so many times while its okay it is not quite right yet. I do this a lot in making graphics I get the effect I want only not quite and grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I then try some more and its less perfect so go back to what looked pretty good.

hi Hatley, I guess if I do not have deadlines to meet, I'm ok to perfect the task at hand. But generally, I guess we ourselves don't live in a perfect world so I do allow margins of imperfection.

I am a bit of a perfectionist and when I take on a task it has to be perfect, for what ever much that word can weigh. Until I see a really great job done I do not release it. It is painful when not allowed enough time to overview and perfect as I feel I am not putting forth my best work.

whoa hwg, i think it gonna be tough when you have to rush to meet a deadline. I guess I do allow for a 0.001% of error.

Every time a job is assigned to me I just see to it that I'm giving my best shot because the moment I assigned jobs to others it should always be as perfect as what i did with mine. If it doesn't live up to my standard then i don't consider it as done at all.

Doing a good job is very important for your employers as well as yourself. It helps that we have tools that help us do a good job.

for me...i can not be a perfectionist because no body does but i don't want it just only 'done'. i will give my best to have my job done because it is a satisfy for my self to get my job done with good result and get appreciation with what i've done from everyone.

i guess it is always important to give off one's best. I'm not sure if there ever was a perfect job though.
