My 3 year old son is hooked on the Iphone....

My husband & I bought the Iphone 3G for my 18 yrs old daughter last year christmas, but lately when she leaves the house my 3 year old son would not give her the cell phone to take so I would end up lending her mine to use when she goes out... Her fault she got him hooked with the iphone games & music videos she has installed... She installed a lot of educational puzzles, letters to trace, picture animals with the letter alphabets, & kiddies games, & videos for him to occupy when she babysits him & I leave the house to do errands... I need to find a game gadget within his age group that allows for games & music videos like the iphone but less expensive & something where he won't brake that easily... I really get worried because the iphone are expensive & sensitive but sometimes when he gets mad he tends to throw the phone & I would get angry & scold him & my daughter for showing him how to use it... Thank goodness he doesn't know how to operate the phone YET, OMG!! Have any parents here in mylot experience with this or can u tell me what toy accessories out there similar to having games which I can download from the internet & also allows music videos for children that are 3 years old... Anything will help or any advice.. Thanks for any advice....

Well, your son has good taste. He can get to play with an Iphone. I am still dreaming of getting on. But, I have other stuff I need to buy first though.

Believe me, I cried when I bought my 18 yr. old daughter that phone, but a promise is a promise... My cell phone is less than $200 but I'm still happy with it... As for my 3 yr old son trying to find another game cheaper & around his age group where he will be satisfied & my daughter can have her iphone back... I hope when the time is right you will be able to get that Iphone u want, me I really want the Blacberry Torch... Thanks for your respond & have a great day mylot friend...

3 year old kids are easily fascinated with something different, unique, colorful and have sounds, that is why he easily was attached to the Iphone and thinks it was a toy. You can buy a cellphone toy or a remote controlled toy, I think you can afford it. A big race car toy would do, I think.... And next time, you have to at least make the Iphone away from his sight. Or you like a good trick? Buy something which your kid is afraid of, I mean buy a plastic toy equivalent like tiny insect or rat or lizard... then place it always on top of the iphone and always threat him that the animal toy would bite him... A child at his age will easily believe until the time he thinks that it is not good to hold the Iphone.. And that may solve the problem =)

My son has other toys actually 3 big boxes (the size of a 12,000btu aircon boxes I'm currently using to put his toys in)... Too much toys I plan on giving the redcross or to a daycare where it will make some kids happy... I tried those already with other toys, couple of old cell phones where we still keep around for his music videos... I think yes it's because of the colors & he knows how to access his games easily... Do u know I myself don't know how to move around the Iphone but my 3 yr old is teaching me how to operate it & with playing the games, how to make the viewing larger or smaller, lol... But u know what I like your idea with the plastic animals which my son is scared when he sees small lizards & small monster figures he's scared of, I will try that & will let u know the results..
