male or female boss

Personally I do not feel gender is a problem with me when it comes to bosses. So as long as they are fair, impartial and good at their jobs the rest should not matter.

For me, gender is not a problem..be the boss a gay/lesbian/man/woman..the problem there is their attitude..how they handle their subordinates.,how approachable they are.,their relationship to other employees. I experienced having a gay boss, a man and a woman (no lesbian yet) and I don't have any problems with them. They are all great. they deal with work as well as the people around them with respect and professionalism. They are also fun to work with. I don't have any complains..

I don't think so.. it is not true in all the cases .. I think even female bosses are good and are easy to deal with.. I have been under few female boss and so far has never had any problem...

I also worked with gay boss in the past and my experience working with him was the opposite of yours. I do not like working with gay boss. They usually take advantage of their male staffs especially if the staff is good looking like me. They are also very jealous with my female co-workers and usually do some "black mail" just to keep me. So, what I did was, I resigned from my job and looked for another work. And I am glad I did.

Same with you friend. I am a woman, but i prefer a male/gay for my boss. Based on my experienced working for almost 10 years in different firms and having different bosses, most of my boss were male and they really like my performance. My experience having a female boss was twice only. The first is just like my other male boss, she likes my performance and gives me a high recommendation. But the second female boss, terrible! I almost had a trauma working with her. At first she was definitely good to me, then after a month she really told me how much she hates me. But in front of others she is really nice to me. That's why i really like male for my boss.

I refer to a male boss. Base on the experienced I've have been through male manager is easier to be with than female manager. Because male doesn't take things so seriously compared to females who take things too hard. That is why when a female manager is been too pressured, common females attitude will come out.But it doesn't mean that female doesn't deserve to be a boss.
