Internet service providers here in the Philippines have a loooooong way to go. We have very slow connection compared to neighboring countries and it is definitely not as stable. What ISP are you currently using? Are you happy with it? We used to subscribe to PLDT MyDSL. It was actually quite ok. We were on a business plan so it was quite fast. But early this year the connection started to act weird. It was very inconsistent. There were times when you couldn't even connect to the web. What really annoyed us was whenever we called up customer suuport they kept on insisting that the problem was on our end. I may not an IT expert, but I do know my way around the router, modem, pc... and I know those are working fine. But they still insisted that I "disconnect and reconnect everything and try again" ...a total waste of time. So now we're on BayanDSL and we're very happy with it. The connection is fast and more importantly... it's consistent. Rain or shine we're always connected... no disruption at all. How about you guys?

We're using Globe and Destiny in the house, both of which have barely passing marks here. Globe particularly has been a big headache to us ever since Ondoy. We have had problems from billing to connection. It took them one year and two complaints to DTI and NTC before they finally solved the billing problem. As for the connection problem, it was upon the suggestion of my uncle that finally solved the inconsistent connection after they had repaired/replaced almost all the lines and even the modem. Why don't you suggest to your ISP to replace the jack behind the phone line? That finally solved the problem for us.

It's ok. We've finally made the big switch to BayanDSL after finally giving up on MyDSL's unreliable connection. :) We have consistent and fast DSL connection now so I'm quite satisfied. Destiny was one of our options too. But for some reason, they said their service wasn't available in our area. We found that a bit odd because we live in a very commercial part of the city.
