Do you have a television set in your bedroom? When my children were living at home they all had a television in their room. It was okay until you could get all these music channels and they would have these on while we were trying to get to sleep. They were too old to tell them to turn it off - although a lot of time we did! Now they have left home we have no televisions in the bedrooms and it is nice lol - not to have the television sets I mean not the children lol
or do you use the television for watching DVDs

Ii only have one television and it is in my lounge. It has a 19 inch screen so it small and not the focal point of the room. My children are not allowed to have a television in their bedrooms. I let my toddler son and baby daughter watch a little bit of educational television like information about letters of the alphabet and numbers. 'Something Special' shows disabled children so I feel that is helpful for my younger son. I tend to use my laptop a lot more than my television.

19 inches is small? I guess it's relative. I have a 14 inch and think it's big. I had a 12 inch before that. Obviously TV isn't ma passion of mine.

Growing up at my parents house, there are only 2 television sets. One is in the living room and the other is my parents' room. They never allowed us to have our own TV set in our room. They said that if we wanted to watch TV, we have to watch where they can see us. Not that they don't trust us its just that they take the "parental guidance" thing seriously. They wanna make sure that we understand what we see on TV. And I'm thankful that way.

I suppose I should say "No" and "Yes". I don't have a TV set in my bedroom, but I can watch TV channels on my computer in my bedroom. That world very well. After I check my emails, I can switch to TV and continue relaxing watching my favorite channels. befor going to bed.

I do have a television in my room but the cable isn't hooked up to it at the moment. I have my Playstation 2 connected to it as well as a VCR. My playstation doubles as a game console as well as a DVD player. Since I don't have a DVD player in my room it's what I use to watch a majority of my movies.

I never allowed my children a TV in their bedroom, we used to sit and watch TV together I thought is was a better way...so I could explain to them the reality [ or make believe] on TV news, movies, and so on. I used to sit with my son to watch sport[ I Am not interested on ] but I kept his company all the same and I think that! created a bond between us...and still is there today.

I have a TV in my bedroom because I live in a basement suite with my daughter and sometimes I want to go into my room to watch TV by myself because I want to be alone. My daughter also has a TV in her bedroom so sometimes she will go to her room to watch so she can be alone.
We also have a TV in the livingroom that we will watch together or alone if one of us is in our bedrooms. I watch TV every night while I am laying in bed. I watch with the remote in my hand so that as I am falling asleep I can turn it off or otherwise it will wake me up in a couple hours and then I have to turn it off then. So I rather not wake up in the middle of the night so I try to make sure I turn it off as I am falling asleep. I know it is a bad habit but I sleep alone, left my husband, 3 years ago and it is the only way I can fall asleep now.
Good luck and happy mylotting my friend,
Chris

Yes, I do have but I prefer to use the pc instead of the television for news. I don't have a dvd player inside the room, so it does not function much.

I think it is not a good idea to have television in bed room, you can keep television in your lounge or at any other place, because if you are keeping it in your bed room then if your husband want to watch a program and you are not in the mood and you want to sleep then it can create problem and vice versa, I want to keep it away from my bed room so that in time of rest, this could not disturb me....

I do have a television in my room and lounge. I wanted to have a TV in my room for a very long time because I used to come home very tired wanted just to ly down in my bed rather than sitting in a lounge where my kids are or wanted to watch something else rather than watching something they watched. If they are watching the music they are puting it in a loud but once I am in they drop the volume so I have no problem staying with them as long as we do understand each other, they like to hire DVD's and they just invite me to watch with them sometimes

Yep...we have a tv in our bedroom and so do our kids. My girls hardly ever watch thiers but my son...who is 10...watches his alot right before bed. He is usually asleep within about 20 minutes of laying down in bed so then I turn it off.
We watch ours in our room alot.

I don't have one in my bedroom but read in bed if I can't sleep. They've found that watching TV prior to sleeping is bad for your sleep, it's not quality rest. Sometimes I've wished I had one there but not often.
I did not allow my children to have TV in their room when they were growing up. I wanted to supervise what they watched and thought it was important for them to be with the family as much as possible. Too many children are allowed to isolate themselves in their rooms in front of the TV, at ages when they really need to be around their family. They turned out okay, too!
I rarely watch DVDs. I won't buy them because once I see a movie I'm done with it. But I do TiVO shows and movies and watch them later--that way I don't have to deal with those stupid commercials!

Hi. MAllen. No. I don't have a television in my bedroom. I do have two TV's in my front room though. I am still waiting on my husband to put one into our bedroom. I can't wait until there is one in there. I would love to watch and fall asleep in my bedroom when there is a TV on.
