Dear Erroll Le Vant I unfortunately not getting any News Paper at my place. This is not because I am getting News on line or on TV, but it is because I am staying on a Stud Farm as a Resident Veterinarian and my farm is situated some 14 kilometers away from the Township. here no Vendor is interested in coming and giving the News paper.
I Love reading the News Paper, its having its own Charm and You can definitely go through the paper at your convenience and leisurely. We can read News paper at different postures like while sitting on easy Chair, while leaning on a pillow , while sitting in front of table etc. Which we miss to have such pleasure,if we are on line.
In fact I was a free Lance Journalist when I was a College Student and I am a Cartoonist too. So my association/bonding with News paper is bit more than an average person!
I tried to get News paper through one of the person coming to the near by Office, but then he also never shown much of interest and used to get any paper available in the market at his time of visit. That used to be a big headache for me to read different papers every day. This person in spite of my paying three times the actual cost was bit reluctant to get me the Newspaper!
Now no alternative left, I get news on line and from TV Channels, that is I get news from these sources by default and not by Choice! Thanks for such a nice topic of discussion I liked participating in it!

Thanks for all that input AKRao, it sounds as though we struck a fond chord for you in this topic! Staying on a stud farm seems to me would have a charm to it as well!

Definitely you made my mood elevated my mood by your posting! Again thanks for that! Coming to the point of staying on the stu Farm,Yes that is altogether a different life and you are in your own world.Believe me mu house surrounded by either paddocks meant for the horses and stables. So I am practically surrounded by horses, rather say Thoroughbreds , that too about 350 in number! LOL! Thanks for responding!

Not really.... I dont like spending time sitting on PC for things like that.... Anything which I cant get without a computer, I would surely sit and do without getting bored.... But I dont want to use the computer when there is a good alternative....!!!

For many years I subscribed to the Houston Chronicle, but they went up in price by one third, so I stopped the subscription. I occasionally bought a paper, but mostly read online if there was something I wanted to get more info about.

I no longer get the newspaper delivered every day, as I'm reading it online. The only day I get delivery is Sunday, then I take the paper to the gym to read while on a bike pedaling.

and the Sunday edition is usually filled with coupons that offset the cost.

I have been subscribing to the daily newspaper of the city for years now, and I still have it. Yes, I read the newspaper every morning at breakfast time, especially the business section, to be informed and updated about the business trends in the country and internationally. I read some of the breaking news online too.

I enjoy getting up and walking out to get the paper then settling in for half an hour to read all that catches my attention. I am a big sports page and funny pages guy!

Sender, my wife thinks the circulars and coupons are worth the price of the subscription!

I don't. I simply do not have the time to read them on a day to day basis, due to work etc. So I usually only read the newspaper during the weekend, but then I really love it!

I hate it when I have to hurry in the morning, so I get up early enough to take a few minutes quietly with the paper.

would it not be cheaper to subscribe if you are going to read every day?
