comedic relief? If I ever need a laugh or just to lighten my mood I always come to the politics section of mylot. Now I don't know if the intention when they started this section was for it to be humorous but, it is! I know we get the same repeat Pres. Obama is this that and the other constantly, the world is ending (as we know it), the US is now a socialist country and on and on. I find most of that humorous.
Do any of you feel the same way? Do you sometimes laugh out loud (as I do) about some of the insane posts?

I used to laugh, but now get sad by it. These insane posters are voters.

Yes laglen, the opinions do span the spectrum. The statement that is most irritating to me is "only the ignorant and unimformed voted for Obama or support him". Whether one voted for him or not, that is a pretty judgemental statemnt to make of people you have never met. Thanks

Well, it gives me a nice contrast to the people I normally talk to. I live in Belgium and here the Tea Party would most likely be considered as insane people voting against their interests. What I like about this forum is that I can personally ask these people what their reasoning is. Sometimes I get the batsh*t insane responses ("OBAMA WAS NOT BORN IN AMERICA! HE IS A KENYAN MUSLIM COMMUNIST NAMED SORROS"), while other times there are some valid concerns.

Mr Hawaii - The Tea party is considered as insane people voting against their interests. Those of us in the left and moderate wings in the US can see that, the right wing can't seem to.

Now Mr. Hawaii, would anyone here actually post those things about our President? Ok you win, we read it all the time. As another poster alrady said, it is funny until you remember those same people vote!
Being removed from the situation, so to speak, there is probably plenty of humor here for you. Thanks

I sure do sometimes laugh out loud. Whenever I read posts by those who call President Obama names like "the usurper" and claim he's not a legitimate President I want to scream "YOU LOST!! Get OVER it!" but instead I just laugh.
They really don't know any better.

Annie, I remember a time when after the election the "loser" would say something like "We gave it our best, didn't win, but now it's time to come together and support the president for the good of the country". I don't recall anything close to that happening this time.
