What type of a boss do you hate/don't prefer?

When I started this job 3 weeks ago, I was a little nervous about the type of supervisor I will have (she was not present when I was inteviewed). My only prayer was not to get an over doninating boss. I am very happy when I found that my boss is not very dominating. I can adjust with different types of bosses, but not with somebody who is over dominating and who carries away by flattery. I hate flattery and I can never do that.
What type of a boss do you hate/don't prefer?

well, I hate to have a boss who is not ready to accept anything from his sub ordinate and the worst case is taking the ideas of his employee as his own and not even complimenting him in person. A boss should be eager to improve his concern and he should have a open heart for talented employees. He shall even make efficient one as a partner to him.

I would love to work with a boss who appreciates me constantly on my good work and who encourages me to do well. I also prefer to work with a boss who is has trust in me and give me more opportunities to do creative other than my normal work. I also hate a boss who is noisy, who never trusts me, and who always keep an eye on me and my monitor.

I forgot to say this...it is nice to see your comment on my discussion. I think I started a discussion after around 6 months. I got a new job and was busy with the work. Also, I was into a lot of other things where I couldn't find time to do mylotting. Yesterday, I was bored and had nothing to do and thought about Mylot on a sudden.

Hi daliaj, How is your new job. I hate a boss who would pry on the work i do. I feel comfortable when left alone and get nervous when he is on the back looking into the monitor. I also hate such boss who would appreciate my work but when it comes to appraisals takes it entirely for himself as the team leader.

I hate a boss who pry on my work. I worked with a boss who always made an attempt to look into my monitor whenever he crossed my seat. He also made some silly visits to my place just because he wanted to look into my monitor. I don't think I will ever do that when I start supervising people at work. I would be a good boss enocouraging people and work and my main motive will be to get the work on time and not prying. If a person is very slow at work and the timelines are getting affected, then I may have to become a pry. Lol. It is a joke.
I am so happy to see your response. Hope everybody at home are doing well. I like my job and I enjoy it. I was so bored being at home looking for a job for two months. That period was very irritating and demotivating. Anyway, now I am very happy. My office is nearby the house and the my coworkers are very nice.

I hate boss who would show you so much appreciation in front of other departments/officemates, where as in-fact, hates you in reality. Especially when it's only the two of you were left alone in a workplace. In short, hypocrite boss!

I hate a boss who keeps on criticizing my work but do give any advice or pointers to improve it. It only shows that he/she does not know anything. Criticism is his/her way to hide it. Or maybe he/she is so greedy to share what he/she knows.
