I work from home and have for a couple of years. Lately I am having a really hard time keeping motivated and wanting to actually do work. And I usually love what I do. The problem is, I am getting behind on what needs done. I am wondering if this is a phase that I will work through, or if it will just get worse over time. Does anyone else that works from home have any advice or suggestions for me?

I always have a goal why i am working. So every time I am lazy and dont feel like doing it, I think of my goal and I keep working.
I think I should cut our some pictures so they remind me of what I want.
Bills do not motivate em at all, they just scare me and make me depressed :D

Personally in a lot of ways if there was a way I could work from home, be able to afford a decent Medical insurance and get paid the type of money I would need to be making I would be all for it for sure. I have my own Business actually that lately seems to be neglected due to lack of time, both online and offline but not making enough to be able to not work for someone else yet. Due to all my Medical issues that definately is my Goal but like I said the medical insurance part is a factor for sure.
Being able to keep motivated all of the time is the hard part though for sure. I know many times we can allow other things to take place to where often you are wishing you could take a break but know the money would not be coming in as well. Overall, it is a thing of balance and learning what will work for you the most in keeping motivated as well.

Finding working from home is difficult is a true saying. It is not easy to do so. Many people brag a lot about how much they are making online. I find that hard to believe. If I am making a lot of cash online, I'd be keeping my mouth shut.
However, it is not impossible to work from home. Not the way most of us envision it. I work from home but it doesn't mean physically all the time from home and in front of my laptop. It simply means to me that I do not have to go to office everyday and I have the liberty to arrange my work schedule to my liking.

Hi pschenck I really am have the same feeling as you.
I am start thinking to look for a part-time job or some thing I can do,I really am hate doing nothing at home and waste my time, waste time = waste life, and life is really short.
I tell you what,I used to worked at home for 2 years,I traded coin vending game machines, I make good profit with my sales. and I really enjoy and like what i used to do at home,I can work as much as I can and when I am tired,I can just relax....
but the econmoy seems getting worse and worse, people from around the world seems stop buying. I start to understand though the more work I have done, still get no any results, So I have stop everything for now, and stop paying money for I should have to cut less, and thinking of another new way that I can do and make some extra income.
if you really want a suggestion of work from home,I guess to sell some stuff online it works ;-)
but depends on what you sell and what you go for it,just try see what happen
good luck

I have trouble with finding work from home jobs. I mean, a real work from home. That is something like, I want to go back and find a new full time job now since my needs cannot cope with what I earn from home. It is getting tougher. I thought, I can manage it, but my part time online jobs aren't that sufficient or even not equal to what I am earning when I was employed.

We have a work from home facility at our work. At times I use this option. I find that sometimes I am more productive while working from home as the distractions of other employees is less. But there are times when I also feel a bit distracted at home especially when my son is around. So now I only work from home when I am alone at home.
Cheers!

I work at home part time. I think it is easier to "goof off" when you work at home. I like it alot better than having a traditional boss and expectations however. I like to do my own thing and have flexibility, and if that is what you enjoy as well, keep that in mind. Maybe you need to investigate some other work at home opportunities that you feel more excited about and would keep you motivated as well.

Last year I did have really bad times work at home job since the company I'm working with don't have any vacant projects and thanks God just this month, they offer another project for me.I learned that as much as possible,if your working at home, don't stick to one.Make it multitasking so you will not hang.

When looking for a work from home opportunity, make it sure you have a clear criteria of opportunities you're looking for. I have seen so many people looking for a work from home opportunity, and then disappointed to learn that what they are actually looking into are not really work or job but an online business opportunity. Although you can find legitimate opportunities in both of them, but keep in mind that the two are different from each other. With "work" opportunities, you don't have to spend money to earn money, but the earning potential are often limited, limited to what you can only work. But with online business opportunities, you can earn unlimited income with only limited efforts because you are creating a system, a business system that can work for you even while you're asleep.

I think you need to find a time management system that works for you. I don't want to recommend a specific time management system, since different systems work for different people, but there are plenty to choose from, and a lot of them are really effective.
So start looking into time management and see if you can find something that suits you!

I do feel the same sometimes and I get really discouraged a lot because the earning is very low. But I try to overcome it the best way I can because otherwise I won't have an extra money at all. I'm honestly getting bored with the things I'm doing online but I try to switch place like I go to the restaurants sometimes and do the work online.

I feel this way sometimes also, what motivates me is when the mail arrives and I see the bills coming though so that is when I have to step up a bit more.
Good luck and hope your motivation comes back as you certainly do not want this feeling to last too long.
