I really wonder how that a person could describe themselves as a Christian yet make the statement that the Bible is irrelevant to individuals in modern society. I see the Bible as the revealed Word of God, and cannot fathom otherwise accept that a person who doesn't believe that is decieved. Fellow Chrisitians, what say you?

Greetings cookieduster16 .
Aye. Either a "Christian" (note the quotation marks, inferring Christian just in name) or a young unlearned Christian might think the Holy Bible is anything less than the written Word of God.
It is powerful and its prophecies come to pass. Most important, it is life changing. When coupled with the Holy Spirit, it is soul saving!

I really like this comment, it is short, to the point, and profound. People should consider the power behind the message of the Bible, as, like you point out, it is soul-saving and it's prophecies do come to pass.

...and transforming.. it is the only source (God is) of salvation and transformation (soul-saving) - folks don't understand it's not an outward observance as rules and observances, but is a freely drawing near which is the power, but narrow is the ribbon/way and few that see it.. (few compared to the total number of people anyway)..

Bible is the true Word of God but other says it is irrelevant to human life, that individual is not really a ture Christian, he is Christian in his mouth only not in his heart. However, in the book of Hosea 4:6- my people will perish because of ignorance (meaning not yet or not know the word of God, why people a perish).. Let us pray those people so that they enlighthen and know the truth about Bible... see you around

The bible is the inspired word of God. His word for us to know the story about the trinity. If anyone feels the bible (the word of God) is irrelevant, they are either ignorant of this fact or they are lying about being a christian. And that IS FACT.

I have heard people say they believe in God but they don't believe in the bible. I tell them that if they don't believe in the bible, then they really don't believe in God, as He is throughout the bible, as he inspired men to writ it. I have told people that if they don't believe in the bible, then they just aren't a christian. Being a christian involves more than just accepting what you read. You have to apply ot to your daily life as well. There are life lessons for all of us in the bible if only we would take the time to read it and gain the knowledge from it that we need to have, to be ready when Jesus comes back to take his church home. Take care, and may God bless you.

The Bible is the best tool to know God, if we read regular his Word. Otherwise, if we don't read the Holy Scriptures and don't believe in this Book as such, how can we say that we believe in a God we don't know? Are you able to believe in someone you don`t know? It's difficult to accept that a person who says to be a christian doesn't believe in or need the Bible.
