Which is the best free anti-virus software you are using?

I am using Avira antivir for the past one year with absolutely no issues.It updates daily, has real time protection and system scans are quick as well.

I recommend going to CNET downloads and looking at their security software section. They have a list of the best and most popular for anti-virus, adware, spyware, etc. They test everything to make sure it's clean and not itself going to harm your computer. I hope that helps. Best, IsisGreen

The three top free AV softwares are AVG, Avira and Avast. I currently use Avast and find it very reliable. Not only does it update its definitions almost daily but it prevents websites that contain malware from opening. Along with any one of the above, I recommend that you install Zonealarm Free firewall. This is a very user-friendly firewall that is better than the Windows 7 firewall. It will make your computer 100% invisible to any outside attackers and will also warn when anything unknown or illegal attempts to 'phone home'. It can, of course, be configured to allow legitimate programs, such as updaters, to do their work.

I use Avira free antivirus software.it detets almost all the virus and tojans and alerts me.but it smetimes fails to clean them though.but alreting about the virus is the best part.after deteting even if it can't clean we can try some other tools to remove the virus or trojan.other free antivirus softwares wont do even detecting.So iam happy with Avira antvirus as of now :) and wuld strongly recommend it to you mate.
