Personally, I would never boil pork chops. I would generally grill or bake them and then. perhaps, cook them gently in a sauce so that the meat juices do not go to waste and the meat is moist and tender. If you want to boil them, however, place them in a pan just covered with water to which you might add onion, a bay leaf or other flavourings. Bring them to the boil covered and simmer them on a low heat until the meat is no longer pink in the centre. Use the water in which they boiled to make a sauce for them.

owlwings...you know your cooking! I do not use pork regularly but I can use other cut of meat to make a dish like this one and some time at the end of cooking I will add some cut potatoes so at the end you have potatoes ready for a good mash and a good broth to make a nice gravy[ or sauce] I would usually cook a meal like this one as a one pan meal...easy and save on washing up!

I usually do not boil pork chops...I just pop them under a hot grill...grill one side till is done then grill the other side and when is firm to your touch it should be done! now if you want to boil the chops then put them in a sauce pan with enough water to cover them[ cold water] add some garlic cloves[chopped in half]a medium size onion, some herbs, salt and ground pepper[to your taste] this is to give the chops some taste, boil until done to your taste [ the meat should be very tender]I will put the cooking time to about 30 to 40 minutes, let it rest in the cooking water for about 10 minutes then serve with a potato mash, green vegies on the side, and may be a sauce made with the cooking liquid.I tend to use a normal gravy but instead of just water I use the cooking liquid it gives a better flavour to the sauce. Good luck with your cooking!
