Have you tried out Microsoft Security Essential?

It is a kind of anti-virus software, it is free for genuine Microsoft OS. I am using it from last 2 days, for now it is working fine for me. Have you ever tried this AV? If yes, then please tell me your experience with this anti-virus. I have fully scanned my system, and it has detected viruses and removed them. It seems nice one. Your experience please?

I have not yet tried microsoft secuirty essential yet..some review state that it is not good anti virus yet and security is week..I won't risk my system using some beta version of anti virus.

Some people saying that it is a good AV, some doesn't prefer it.

yes i have used it, you need to keep auto update is on mode for anti virus to run. it takes less utility of system resources. but you have less control of what it does.i have only used it for 2 days and then installed avast which works great for me.

Yes, you're right it is light antivirus program. Do you know how to keep auto update in On mode? I have to update it manually.
