Culture is basically defined as "shared attitudes, values, goals, and practices that characterizes an institution, organization or group" (source:wikipedia). Now the general culture has also subculture on it, or others call it clique for instance you will be identified with people whom you can share with same set of belief or interest hence, your clique have something separate from those in general.
