"Prayer": actually its hard to search meaning for this word.I can give my own meaning for the word prayer from my mind and heart. As this word pops out from my mind, all I think is about God Almighty. Prayer is my way of communication for Him to understand me and to share my life with Him. I'm a devoted Roman Catholic, when I was a kid, my family and teachers taught me how to pray,I memorized all my prayers that time. I pray when I woke up early in the morning, before and after meals, when going to vacation, before and after classes, and before bedtime. It was a routine until now, I still have this manner of praying with the sign of the cross, but now having my spontaneous prayer coming from my mind and heart so dearly.I also pray together with my family, where a family that prays together, stays together. I strongly believe in that saying. Currently I'm 20 and I sometime act childish when I pray and I also act maturely when I pray. I feel free to express my life and share my problems, worries, stresses with Our God and in Him He understands us deeply. Knowing that He understands us, I listen to Him in a solemn atmosphere and there I can feel His presence. Prayer is my best weapon in my life, as life goes on, challenges may be bigger than we knew before. We expect huge battles in our lives. Its a simple word but it really helps me a lot. As of now, I can see my life simple and wonderful, with my loved ones surrounding me,and with Him always guiding us and giving us that bountiful life we experience today. Have a Great day mylot friends! ^_^ How about you? do you usually pray? Does prayer help you? In what way?

Wow, you are a good role model and you are right, we can be as childish or serious with our creator, He loves it and us..I am ashamed to say I don't pray anywhere close to the times you pray, but I do pray, mostly for others and for wisdom as I go back to school after way too many years. I know I should pray more often, and I think it is great that at your age, you do pray as much as you do..Keep it up..:)

Hello, Carmelanirel Maybe God will understand us, whenever we miss to pray. But for us, every time when we get ourselves busy, we sometime forget to pray. We must be reminded that even a single sign of a cross really counts. I bet when we were kids we do often pray. ^_^ We'll keep it up.^_^

Well, for me, I prayed more as an adult, I was never taught to pray and didn't really understand it. So, it was at the time I stated following Jesus when I would pray a lot, but it seems as all these years and life has taken away my desire to talk to G&heart;d as much as I used to..:(

Why do you think that life has taken away your desire to talk to God? Am I right about it? Today, I'm used to pray especially that I just passed the NLE and its really a gift from God and I owe to Him. That's why I thanked Him each and everyday. Hoping that your desire to pray will return as soon as you discover new things in your life.^_^

Oh, Hello too Professor, I'm glad, your granddaughter is also praying at her age, wow she is so cute. I agree with you, that prayer is the most powerful of all. ^_^ Even though we differ from religions but still we have that faith, then there is no different in praying, as long as we don't hurt anybody else, and as long as we promote life then God will help us in any way. ^_^ Have a happy day!

I wouldn't really consider myself as that religious, but I do pray. I don't have a set time for it, or do I have any memorized prayers. I just do when I feel like it. Usually I would do it when I'm alone. And it is always more like a conversation. Only then I could feel more spiritual, and have a sense that my prayers are being heard.

Hello bounce58, I too, I can't consider my self as religious because for me, a person is religious whenever she or he have more hours of prayer than her or his leisure time. Its nice to know that, you pray even though not that much, but still God doesn't count on how many times you pray, as long as we remember Him and He is there to listen our prayers, then He will be happy for us. It's true that God hears our prayer if He knows that it is good for us. God loves us, and so we Love Him more. ^_^ Have a blessed day!

Yes! I do pray! I believe in Jesus Christ and He is my savior and my Redeemer. Although there are lots of argument about religion but I think that they are trying to test God's capabilities which they can never fathom. Whenever I pray, I feel comfortable and at ease because I know God listen's all my petitions and request. With all the hardships that I encounter in life I can testify that God is ever present. There's no need for me to witness miracles because He already showed me things in my life experiences on how His power works. Thank You Lord.!

Hello Just_obeth, "God is ever present" that struck me the most. Yes God is all over the place, whenever we go, God is always here for us. For those people who try to test God's capabilities they aren't believing God for if we believe we truly not ask one question nor question Him in His words and works. I'm glad that we believe in Him, and we witness Him in our daily lives that we can wake up early in morning and its really a gift to have a bountiful life. Praise the Lord. Thank you for sharing your experiences with God from your heart and mind. ^_^ Have a great day!
