What do you consider the biggest suprise so far this season in Europe football?

Taking a look at the major European leagues, what do you consider being the biggest surprise till this moment? I am very astonished by the great performance of Mainz and Lazio, and I don't know what to believe on Liverpool performing so poorly till this period of the season. The same I can say about AS Roma, Schalke, Stuttgart, Feyenoord and partially about Bayern and Lyon.Of course, it is too early to make many conclusions, I am sure that all of these teams will gather themselves up, but I have surely expected much more from them, and I have to say that I wouldn't expect such a great start from Mainz and Lazio.

For me the two contrasting fortunes of the two Ls is the biggest story of European football. Lazio seems to be having a great run in the Italian Serie A after a long time and are deservedly top of the Serie A at this moment. On the other hand, Liverpool touted as one of the big four in England have had such a horrible run that they find themselves in the relegation zone after 8 matches.
I think the fortunes of both these clubs will change over the remainder of the season and I expect Liverpool to move up the table while Lazio I suspect will slip down the table.

It is funny that you think this way, because I think almost the same. I think that Liverpool will finish in the top 6, but I think Lazio will do the same, they will qualify for Europe in my opinion. As for Mainz, I don't know what to think, they are a young and wild team, which means that they are very unpredictable.

If somebody doesn't follow a league then it is natural not to know all the teams. Mainz is not a big team, they are young and wild and it seems that they are starting to go down. I think that they will finish at the middle of the table, with no worries to relegate. As for Lazio, I think that they will manage to qualify for Europe.

I also think that Bayern will go up, and I hope this as well, being a Bayern fan. But Dortmund seems to be a very serious opponent, their performance is not so surprising as the Mainz's. I think it will be a thrilling competition the Bundesliga this year. And I think that all the major competition will be very thrilling till the end.
