Happy Halloween Eve or Mischief Nite

What is your favorite scary halloween memory? Quickly, people before the spirit leaves you and you start to get all ho-ho-ho.
I can remember going to a haunted house at a shopping center and it was really scary. I was in my 20's.
Later on, during the first year my future hubby and I were together we went on a haunted hayride with friends and laughed the whole time. This was back in 1991 and now the same place has quite the reputation of being really scary!

I too live in Canada and refer Halloween Eve as devil's night. Although my past experiences aren't as violent, I always remembered being unable to sleep during devils night as a kid. There were a bunch of teenagers in my backyard during the early morning. I was home alone because my parents worked the midnight shift and came back home around mid morning. The teenagers didn't break anything but they were talking really loud and they were near my bedroom window. I was frightened and I didn't dare move out of my bed. They left after half an hour I saw them there. Then all way well and that night I went trick-or-treating.
