Over the last couple of years there has been a lot of pet food recalls. Do you still feel safe feeding your dog commercial dog food? Have you considered (Or do you feed) you dog an alternative diet- raw diet or making the dog food yourself?

i am so happy that i can meet a friend who likes dogs in mylot.having had a nice dog,i beleve i can show some of my opinions about feeding dogs with you. because of liking dogs,i got one from my friend. to my joyness, the dog i have is so good ,so i treat it as my friend. i spend most of my time with it after school.besides,i often sleep with it when it's cold .the food i feed my dog is made by myself ,for i don't believe the commerical dog food is safe.

I feed my dogs Beefpro. Is this included among the recalled dog foods? I used to make them home cooked gizzard and livers. Now, i had been quite busy and couldnt make them food anymore.

if I have a dog,I will probably make a dog food for him/her than buy.I will make meat balls for my dogs.I will mix ground beef with sliced up vegetables and store them in the freezer, then cook some for my pets.that way,I can be sure that my dogs eat healthy.I have to ask the vet for some tips, especially which vegetables are good for the dog.

I feed my dog with fresh food and I don't use a dog food. I hear by giving them fresh food they will live longer and he can get many benefit from it.
I usually make beef soup for two day, just boiling it with little salt and wait until it fully cook and add an extra rice and vegetable when serving it in his bowl. He will eating like crazy.

For now I fed Binne with premium dog food. I said "for now", because I'd like to switch her on home made food, wich is supposed to have less conservants and other chemicals. But she's such a big eater, and I'm afraid she could gain too much weight for her age. I'll keep her on premium dog food until she finishes her growth, because with kibbles I know how much she need to eat.
She also eats a lot of raw vegetables and beaf bones, but I give them to Binne only as supplements or rewards.

We feed our dog brand name food, but not cheap stuff. Our dog has sever anxiety issues so our vet told us to eliminate all traces of corn form his diet. Corn and corn meal can inhibit a dogs seratonin production. Seratonin helps dogs (and humans) relax and not feel so anxious. So, feeding a dog a diet rich in corn- check your dog foods, it will be one of the top ingredients- inhibits their seratonin production and causes them to not be able to relax. Many people complain about the hyper-activity of their dogs and yet they are giving them corn products all the time.
Since switching to wellness we have seen a change in behavior and also a changein his stools. Our vet told us, if you can buy it a grocer store or walmart, don't feed it to them!

Yes, we avoid corn for the same reason and because it gives the dogs the farts!
We make our own dog food. It takes a bit of work, but cost us less than a high quality food. Our boys love it and they are extremely healthy.
Thanks for answering! Have a great night!

Regular dog food. It seems to be good for him for now anyway and I think it is easier than cooking for him myself, for instance.
