I remember once when I was very little my mom took us to a haunted house. At one point one of the 'actors' came crawling over to me like his legs were broken with a fake ax raised up in his hand as if to strike me. The fear in my eyes must have been so tremendous because as my mom took me by the hand and guided me out of that room I looked behind at him and the look on his face was utter disbelief that anyone could be that scared. I'm telling you, my mom couldn't get me out of that place fast enough! I believe that was one of the few times in my life that I screamed and I am NOT a screamer!
What was your first experience at a haunted house?

I went with a couple of friends to this place, a huge warehouse kind of setting, called "Fear World". Inside that warehouse is featuring the underworld, with all kind of monsters. Pretty scary though, and we went again this year. No children were allowed though.

That no children rule is very good to have for a lot of haunted houses!
Thanks for responding, kingparker!

I remember being in kindergarten, crawling through a tunnel and having a wolf's head suddenly appear with its teeth bared. I've never been in a haunted house since, except one time with my youngest son. It was against my better judgment but I was told that since it was put on by the school it was pretty un-scary. So my sons and I went in, they were 6 and 7 at the time. My youngest was "attacked" by a werewolf so the poor thing did just as I had always taught him to do if a man attacks him-kick him where it counts! His brother picked up a chair (why did they leave a chair there?!) and threw it at the unfortunate guy.
Well, the poor actor wound up on the floor all curled up and screaming while the kids and I ran out. I think I apologized a hundred times. My then-husband was upset that our sons would do that but at least I knew that they would be safe if they were ever attacked and I had a talk with them telling them they did nothing wrong but the place was all about acting--I don't think they understood that when we went in.
My kids never went in another haunted house and they hate them to this day.

Awwwwwwww...........I feel so badly for you and your son.......and also the actor who had the chair thrown at him! LOL!
At the same time it is kind of comical. It sounds like something from a comedy show!
Thanks for replying, dragon!

Hi, kellyjeanne. I can see why you were so scared! Especially as you were a child. As a child things seem more intense than anything! I remember once when I was younger, my mother took me Trick Or Treating. We went walking in our neighborhood to many houses. There was one house that we went to and I got some candy from the residents at this house. As soon as we went to leave and walk off to go to another house, something in a white sheet, jumped from out of the bushes and said "Boo"! I screamed so loudly, I believe that I started crying too. I was completely terrified at what I had seen. I mean I was so scared, I actually thought that this ghost was really real. It was only a man that was clad in a white sheet. As I recall this incident, I can look back at it and find it so humorous. I am sorry that I cannot say this when I was younger though.

Hmmm, so scary...In my place it is crowded. Crowded by the ghosts. Every single place there are a lot of ghosts. I know they are exist, but as long as they don't bother me, I don't bother them.
