When I was young my grandmother always tell me "you must learn how to cook because its the best way to win a mans heart through his stomach". My mom was a great cook she was always praised by the family with the delicious meals she prepares. She was a hands on mom she see to it she will prepare all the food for us. She loves asian foods and her desserts was terrific. How about you are you good cook?

I'd like to think I'm a good cook. I like to make things that are just lying around in the kitchen so as not to be limited to a recipe. I make good pasta, and can bake a mean chocolate cake that has won over a lot of people. I think it's great that your mother and grandmother urge you learn to cook. It's not that too hard a thing to do, as long as you know what's good and you know what you like. It's like translating your personality to your dishes and this translates very well to the people who try out your food. Right now, I'm urging my cousin (he's a guy) to learn to cook. He and his sister have been living alone together but his sister will be moving out soon. I'm encouraging him to learn to cook because no one else can cook for him when she leaves and besides, a man who can cook as a huge plus. He's single, and he can use all the help he can get :)

Yes, I think I am. But my mother is even better, and my grandmother is the best, so I think I still have a lot to learn! But it's okay, I kind of like trying new recipes and stuff anyway, so I don't really mind to be honest.

HI, It is so good to have a good chef at home. What your grandmother said is true and I heard about this statement from those elderly people. That is why I am trying to be a good cook at home which I am doing it everyday now at home. I am still learning how to cook delicious dishes for my family. Most of the time, I will stick to simple and healthy dishes. We seldom dine out..as we believe home cooked meal is the best. So what is your mother's favourite dishes?... I love asian foods..and I am cooking asian chinese food most of the time. On and off, I will cook some spicy food like curry chicken or rendang chicken or laksa, tomyam. Since your mother is a good cook,I believe you are also a good cook too..you must have learnt alot from her.

hi shia88! Hopefully I will learned all the dishes my mother cooks. I'm not as good as her but I am trying to be one. One of her specialty is Stewed Pork Knuckle (Pata Tim) its a chinese dish, roast chicken, korean beef stew to name a few.

I'm proud to say I am a good cook. I know I'm bragging a little, but I'm the designated cook in my office, I cook meals for 7-8 people every day, and at home as well. Also, friends ask me very often to help out with cooking when they throw a party. I got a huge praise this week, when two of my friends celebrated their 5th anniversary. I asked them not to make plans on a certain evening, because, as a gift, I bought them concert tickets. Later on they told me they were a bit disappointed, because they thought I was going to cook something special on that evening and invite them over. Wohoo, they'd take my home cooking over the concert of one of their favorite bands! Just like you, I inherited it from my grandmother and my mother. I didn't learn from them - I spent very little time in the kitchen when I was younger - seems it's just in the genes. Now I cook with cookbooks and Internet recipes, and, what surprises me most, is that I love doing it :)

I love to cook, but couldn't say I'm perfectly good. I used to experiment especially when I like the dishes I've tasted, I wouldn't stop till I learned how to prepare it. The outcome seems good for they commented on it positively. I also believe the saying you're grandma is believing. If you got satisfy with what you're doing, it will come out naturally and easy.

It would be so good if you have a good cooker in your family.I still remember my classmate of Primary school , once she invited me to her home, She has a great mother, who can make such delicious food beyond my imagination. But I must admit cooking is a such trouble things, you must prepare so many things before finally cooking . Right now I have a household helper, she responds for all the preparing , and I act as a chef. Cooking now become a very interesting things for me .

I think that i am a very good cook. But not always. If i am in good mood, i will make tasty and mouthwatering food for my family. If i am not in a good mood opposite will be the result. Nobody will eat on that day. Because my husband and my child always like to eat tasty food. But if i feel hungry, taste is not a big matter to me.....i will eat whatever is in front me. Remember!! almost all the days i make tasty food. Because i will be in out of mood only on few days..........

I think I'm quite a good cook, not as good as others may be though. I mean nothing beats the classic dishes our parents, most especially our grandparents, cook. They have mastered and perfected the art of cooking, well, maybe not so much like the real chefs. At my age, I think somehow I am. When I was a kid, I love watching the older people prepare and cook dishes especially when there's an occasion. I used to eat a lot, as in, until I really get bloated. I became curious how those delicious foods are created. It also gave me the idea that if I want to eat the foods I like anytime I want or most of the time, then I have to learn how they are cooked. At first, I was just observing my relatives prepare the food at home until I started to help them out with the easy tasks like peeling some ingredients, etc. Later on, they were already teaching me how to do it alone. My first dish was not a success. It was not really that bad but it didn't taste exactly as how my relatives cook it knowing that they were the ones who taught me. It didn't stop me from cooking though. I think like other skills, it also needs patience and practice. Today, I can cook my favorite foods, I've also tried creating my own recipes. Most of the people who have tasted my dishes were very satisfied. It feels really great. If a person is truly passionate on what he does, it will successfully pay off. =)

I can say that I am a good cook. It's true that you can win a mans heart is through his stomach.Because i achieve that in my husband. He fall in love with me because I am good cook.I make sure that when I cook it must come from my heart. There's a desire that when you serve food to other people or even in your love ones I make sure that after they ate the food that I prepare they feel the happiness because they are satisfied with what they eat. Everyday I watch cooking master boy in channel 23 and I was really amazed to liumao because he is the youngest cook in their town and a lot of people in their town was really amazed to him because he cooks very well even in the battle he always win.I admire him because he said that when he cook always for the pleasure of other people that's what he learned from his mother and that's now what I've leaned to him..So I can say that I am a good cook!!

I wouldn't call myself a good cook, but I do like to prepare meals and I also like collecting recipes. My love is not only to please my husband and his stomach, but also my two children, as everybody likes to eat tasty meals and they all like it to be different too, including a dessert at the end! I also don't like to eat the same food all the time, so maybe I am also pleasing myself!
