There was a study done recently that showed that those who drank lived longer on average than those who didn't drink at all. Even heavy drinkers lived longer (on average) by a small amount. Why do you think this is. Is it a stress reliever, does it reduce plaque formation in the arteries. Or is there some other benefit or a combination. Maybe you think the study is bogus. What are your thoughts?

Oh I really also want to know coz I am worried of my father's health. He's a heavy drinker. He drinks every night about 4 large bottles before went to sleep.
He says it could relieve stress.
