So I have been doing my photography business for almost a year now and have been doing pretty good and have decided to go ahead and get my own domain name and a get a paid website with more options. Now one of the problems I have come across is even after many researching before I chose my business name I have now realized that the business name I chose has many other companies with the same name and mine is really hard to find on the Internet so I have decided to change my business name I am somewhat keeping it the same but just adding on a bit more. From RJMPhotography to RJMcCarl Photography. I think with just adding my last name it makes it a little bit more mine but also make it easier to find when you do a search. I am also going to add a few new features like editing and slim line greeting cards....
My question for help is this: If you used and/or liked a company and they after a year or so decided to change their business name and add a few new features what are some of the things that you would want them to say to you? I am going to release a letter through facebook and the website that states that I will be changing things but I am not sure of what exactly to say or how to word it so....
How would you word a release and what as a customer are some of the things that you would want a company to cover to assure you everything will be the same and keep you comfortable? Thanks for any help!!

If I had a photographer that I was really comfortable with, I would be more than willing to follow them to a new business name. As far as a release goes for your customers, I would make sure and let them know that the main name for the change in the company name is so that you would have more visibility so that the company can grow. In addition to this, they should also received a synopsis of the new features that you will be able to service to them.
