If your partner or friend says to you that your ringtone or text alert is irritating, You change it and find thiers that never bothered you before starts to irritate you... Shouldn't they have same courtsey and change theirs aswell? My fella moaned about mine being too long n bugged him... so I changed it! Now, his bugs the BEEP out of me and I have asked him to change it but he says he likes it... I get bored of mine so change it every so often. Thinking of putting my long winded ones back on to upset him!! What do you think??

i think i wouldn't ask to somebody changing their ringtones or alarms if i don't lke them!!Nrmally a cllphon is a personal device so i think that all can configure and set up in relation to onw tastes not other ones..

Long ago my fiance was irritated one day and said I walk funny. I told him "you should talk"! Hahahahahaha. He is careful what he criticizes ever since.

This is just one of the many reasons I refuse to own a cell phone. I would say that if you were nice enough to change yours, he should do the same. However, if he won't is it worth it to irritate him by purposely putting your long ones back on? **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I'm from the old school, meaning I grew up before everyone had a phone growing out of their ears. I don't keep in touch constantly with everyone...I don't see a need to. I make plans with ppl and keep them or let them know before I go out that there's been a change. If an emergency arises, there are public phones that are still hanging around. I just don't see the purpose of having to have everyone right at my fingertips. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Everyone should have the ringtone that is most pleasing to them. After all, it your phone. Nobody should have the right to ask you to change it. If they don't like your ringtone, they don't have to listen to it.

Well, since he is not respecting you, and not taking your request, while you took his. Why not change it back to the same old irritating tone, and see what he gonna complain about? If he whining again, you told him, you should change yours first, then I change mine. Fair and square.

I wouldn't have changed mine plain and simple. I usually have mine set to different ringtones for different people...I cannot control who calls me the most. His is set to one ringtone for ALL phone calls. I don't complain about yours...do NOT complain about mine! lol

I live alone, so I don't have anyone telling me that my ringtone needs to be changed, as I will change it if I want to, and if I don't I won't. I did however change mine as I was able to put an app on my android phone so I can have free ringtones. I put a Christian one on my phone as my ringtone, as it is one that I like and one of my favorites. I just think in your situation, that if you don't want to change your rington, you shouldn't have to, as after all your man won't change his since he likes it. I can't see where rintones shoulde be a big deal anyway, as they only ring for a short time anyway, so they really shouldn't bother anyone. I would just tell him that you won't change yours unless he changes his, and since he won't then change yours back if you want that certain ringtone. I don't think anyone has a right to tell you to change your ringtone, when it is your phone. Take care, and have a very good day.

I agree! Why should you change yours if he isn't willing to change his?
