Well today is Halloween and it I have already taken my kids trick or treating and just got done stealing a piece of candy it got me thinking about the candy....what did your kids go as for Halloween and when it comes to their candy do you let your kids eat all their candy as they feel or do you put the candy up and only get a piece if they ask you first?
I am not s real stickler when it comes to the candy but I also do not let them eat it all at once...they still have to ask me if they can get some candy but I will let them get a few pieces at a time usually..

This year for Halloween, Paul was a skeleton and Kathryn was a pirate maiden. The kids were lucky this year because they got to go trick or treating on Saturday and Sunday evenings and ended up with a ton of candy. When it comes to their candy, I will typically let them eat it as they want to eat their candy, but I won't let them eat it all at once because that would make them get sick. Oh, and my husband and I always steal at least a little bit of candy out of their bags of treats.

I got two kids. The older one was a storm trooper and the young one was a ninja. And I was frankenstein.
They got a big loot this year and they ate a lot already. But after a certain time, a certain quantity, I said stop. Then when they were not looking, I went through their bags ang got some chocolates for myself and some candies that I don't want them eating.

Grand daughter ended up with that orange pumpkin thing plumb full of cany and she didnt get any till momma had gone thru it all to mack sure no holes poked in it.
SHe was also told to throw away the ones that was wrote in spanish as it had lead in it.
Why woould a candy maker put lead in candy? That dont make since but she threw it away .
And grand daughter was a girl with and painted up her own face.

My daughter went trick or treating with her cousin on Sunday night and returned home with a lot of candy, cookies etc.; someone even gave them money! All the goodies are in a bag in my pantry and she has some every now and again; fortunately she’s pretty good and doesn’t make herself sick! I had kids come to my door after my daughter got back and I was not allowed to take any sweets from her loot bag!

Hi there froggieslover, I only have a daughter and I don't really let her eat candies especially with chocolates as she can get sick out of chocolates.

Me and my wife took our kids out trick or treating and they had lots of fun and got loads of sweets/candy and chocolate... mostly from my mum. My kids went as a colourful witch and a skeleton pirate. They have already had some of the treats but i won't let them eat it all at once because they would be very hyper and sick then.

My kids are hyper enough without the sugar! I do not like giving them candy or sweets at all.. but I usually let them have 1 piece after dinner if they've behaved pretty well for the day. Needless to say, after awhile I do end up throwing out a lot of their candy because they get so much and eat so little. Seems pointless to go out to get it then.. but Trick or Treating is more than just getting candy.

My kids are grown so don't have to contend w/that problem anymore, lol. I don't think i ever doled it out to them but i probably should have.

Yes, we are all finished with Halloween here as well. My grandson ate afew pieces of his candy while watching alittle tv. Now he has gone to bed. He has acess to the candy after school and can pick out afew pieces. He usually shares with us and with friends who come over. Not like he eats it all by himself.

Happy Halloween to you and your family too. My daughter decided to go to work dressed up though. She went as Peg Bundy... She dyed her hair a nice shade of red hair color, then today we worked her hair to look like Pegs. My daughter never back combed her hair so tonight will be fun when it is time to comb out. I told her I would help.
When my girls were young though, we would go through the candy first before eating any of it. Then they were able to have some that night, then after that it was put up for like after school treats and things like that. Thing is though before the festivities they had to eat a good dinner. If not they wouldn't be able to eat candy that night.
Have a great night
