hello lannie! love does not choose the people they inflict it with. I mean, with your bestfriend having a girlfriend, you could not have planned to fall in love with him. But maybe the constant companionship, the closeness and his being there all the time for you contributed much to what you are feeling now. Since he is already in another relationship, it would be better if you will talk it out, to decide what to to. Hiding it would only make it worse especially since you both seem to feel the same with each other.

Very common cases of children being adopted. I guess maybe this is the reason why my mom keeps on saying she'll never adopt a kid of her own. There also several movies like and even real life stories across the globe. But I would not argue that the genes has something to do with it but rather it's really hard if they didn't get to have the real family to take care and love them for who they are. In my eyes, maybe you were just normal friends before. Due to long-time contacting, sharing and experiences, the relationship between you have changed slowly to be a high level almost to be a lover relation. You should calm down and notice what his reactions to you. If both of you love each other, then love. If not, then keep best friends.

I completely understand your situation as i've been in the same place a few months back!! I was having troubles in my marriage and he was trying to help with advices but I broke up with my husband and he started being flirty (i think i was too) and later on we discussed our feelings and now we are an item.. Even if i'm not divorced yet, and that he is still married, we are completely in love and i hurt to know when he is with his wife but i have full trust in him and i know that he will leave her soon .. I think that the best relationships come from the best friendships! We know each other so well, be it flaws or qualities and i think that's what make us so strong!

It's always good to know that you have the best friend you can always lean on. You said it's like you're going to a higher level of friendship... as for me yeah good friends can be lovers, and good if it worked out until the end... what about lovers? i dont think they can be the same old friends before they became lovers.
