Well.. actually i have a job today but i am thinking to find another...
reasons why i wanted a new job are:
1. i work 30 days a month even holiday.. (well, i need a rest i think)
2. if i'll be absent for 2-3 consecutive days, they will replace me in my branch and put me away like in provinces (what if i got fever?)
3. over time rate is not reasonable.. i mean it's okay to have pay in ot than free, right but i guess, they should follow over time rules..
4. when my branch get alarm eventhough it was on midnight or 2am in the morning.. i need to go on my branch and check it.. (what the hell.. am i a guard?)
what if they have bad people inside? oh god i'm dead.. and if you will not go, you will be having a penalty much more than you rate per day... or worst.. you will not receive your bonus...
5. they did increase your salary after waiting of three years but it's only 5% of your salary.. in return they give as heavy duties and responsibilities and tons of penalties...
err... i hope i could fine work better than this..
but.. im not good in communication.. see... i'm not good in english.. so i doubt if i could find work that will suit my satisfaction...
well.. good luck to me...

I cannot imagine if I were to work 30 days a month like you. I think that is overwork and you probably get exhausted with your work. I am not sure that whether you country having a Labor Law that protect worker's right. You can actually file a complain to your country's Labor department and ask them to check if your company are following the rules.

If you are a person who wants better environment then you should leave right now, ok?
Because sooner or later you will feel bad and wanting to go away. WHy not now?
I am also in the same situation and I always find job until the right one comes.
I don't like to stuck in one place till I am old.

All the best to you for your job hunt. The terms you have mentioned seem to be very stringent. In our company as well if you take 2-3 days leave they will make it Leave without pay if you cannot submit a doctor's certificate. Looks like they are tough task masters.
Cheers!

Well, If you are tired of the job that you have right now, and its putting you too much pressure and stress, I think its better you look for another one that you really love. Other than having a job that you do not enjoy doing. I wish you luck in your endeavor and finding a new career.

hi meipan,
with all the injustices, you've mentioned, i believe and think that it is realy time for you to find another job, a better, more suitable and that fits your needs.
we can't help it. as much as we wanted to have the best things in our life, there are still companies who procrastinate to its people though they do know what should be implemented as provided and indicated by the law.
happy mylotting and hope you find a good and better job.
btw, where are you in the phils. i'm in manila.
if its ok, please pm me your place. :-)

Hi, I understand your rant, I also have rant in my present job although my boss is one of the best boss and we don't get delayed in our payroll, I still don't like to stay here. In my job I can access internet any time as long as I am not busy and in the field. But the worse is that we still don't get our salary increase, we are working 1 1/2 year now but our salary is still in starting salary stage. He says we have to wait for the check collection, we already received two check collection but until now he still didn't review our contract. I am also not good in English but I still have hope to find another job that will be perfect for me.
For me, you really should resign in your present job and go get another one. They should be reported to POEA, they are practicing wrong treatment of workers.
Goodluck to you.

i think it is not good for yourself to stay there.you should find another job.what the hell with those ridiculous rules?they really push you by hard.there is no good reason to say 'yes, you should go and stay with the job.'i will not say this to you.as it is clearly explained by you that this is not a good job that suit well with you.it is not worth at all to be there.go and find another job which will give you more satisfaction.i am sure you will find that job soon.good luck!
anyway the way you communicate is fine.you explained it clearly to all of us.

actually, lots of people are good in english here eventhough we're not american, that's why if they'd knew that they're better than you, they criticize the way you speak especially your grammar... and they will insult you.. that's why i had doubt on my grammar...
anyway.. i'll find a new one.. and if i'll found it.. i'll just do my best to go in.. and if ever that it's not my luck.. then i'll try to search another one.. but i hope.. it will happen soon...
thanks for the response...
