Youth, or Experience?

I am at the stage in life where I can see value in both the vivacity of youth and the experience of age. I hope that when I am older I don't write the youth off as a lost cause due to their idealism, but if the younger generation writes me off as worthless, where does that leave me? Where does that leave them?

I was never a vivacious youth, I have really always only valued age and experience. I don't take youths seriously, I do think they are naive, idealistic and almost always rather ignorant.

I honestly don't understand what you mean, exactly, but you are free to believe what you want.

God makes each of us for a reason. Your perspective is important, in that we shouldn't seek the fountain of youth. We have much to teach the young, but we are who we are.

I think I see both of those myself. We are only as old as we feel! And as young. It is sort like when I went through the change after having a hysterectomy. The doctor told me when I called him because I was having alot of emotions, that it was all in my head. I think it is for the most part. If we think old we are old. If we think young we are young. If the younger generation writes you off as a lost cause it is their loss. Women of experience have alot to offer.

Very good input. I couldn't imagine trying to make it through life without the experience of my elders, or without the energy of the young.

And those that don't see that lose out in the end. Thanks for the BR.
