I agree with it and to me it means yes we should set goals but also to take the time to enjoy the simpler things in life. We cannot always work or we will be miserable so everyone needs a break from time to time no matter the person.

I like this quote. Its true. I believe life isn't just about setting goals and achieving them. You shouldn't use all your time trying to achieve your goals. At times you should stop and take time to appreciate the little things that life has to offer-the rain, the clouds, children playing, your baby's first steps and first giggle, a good laugh. There's more to life than just achieving things and being successful.

hello yellowhipon. thanks for reponse. thanks also for liking it. :)
you are so true that we should have a break to appreciate what life has to offer. even small things like you cited. it's one way of enjoying life aside from achieving goals in life.
thanks you and GOD bless us. :)

'In between goals is a thing called life, that has to be lived and enjoyed' What a beautiful and meaning statement Blesila, again though I don't want to repeat that you post some interesting topics of discussion, but I think it would be an justice done towards your efforts if I don't say so. Indeed a good one again!
Yes,Human being, since is the most evolved animal in the ecosystem who is sitting on the top of the pyramid of evolution, his wants, needs and usage of brain has got evolved too! He is always in search of more and more of things as he is inquisitive and curious and wants to spend his life in the best possible manners. This is what makes a Human being different from rest of the animals in this world.
So naturally as a Human being who is a social creature by nature, we live in a society and we would like to out shine in the society in which we live in. So we set our goals accordingly.Like I am talking simple example of owning a good House Be one goal by a person who is having two kids to take of! Thus the goals in front of him are two, one is to acquire a good house and the second would be providing all the necessity and comforts together with providing them good education to make them responsible individuals.
For accomplishing these goals he may have several plans. If he is rich he can get a good house and he can look after his children well. Now if he is not a rich man and earning sufficiently well to take care of his family then he will approach a financer or bank to avail a loan for getting a new house or he ill try to save from his earnings. Thus he, having set up the goals working on it, but at the same time he is not forgetting his daily routine and duties, he is going to his office and coming back, he is taking care of the family and friends, he is doing all the routine things to live his life. During this time he is having his own ups and downs as a part and parcel of his life which he faces them boldly. Thus he is not deterred and living his life though he got some goals set for him.
I would like to quote a simple personal example of mine to illustrate the topic bit more - I had a fascination for music instruments right from my childhood. Having grown up as a teen ager I managed to procure a banjo and I used to enjoy it. One day I happened to hear some one playing an Electric Hawaiian Guitar on a Local stage. The sound of the music mesmerized me and then and there I have decided to learn the instrument. It was a big thing for me as my father was not in a position to provide a band new Guitar for me as he had lot of responsibilities to take care of including four children. In spite of knowing the results I just asked him for the instrument for which he expressed his inability in a pleasing manner. But I never deterred from my decision. I opened the top of my banjo and I made it like an hawaiian guitar, and instead of using a steel bar I used to use an empty Injection bottle to get tunes like ones we get on Hawaiian Guitar. I managed to get one mouth piece of a telephone from scrap Market to use it as a pickup and I used to play my self made instrument after connecting it to my radio. This went on for few months. Seeing my determination and plight my father got highly impressed and Lo to my surprise he presented me a brand New Electric Hawaiian Guitar, with which I won several prizes in Various competitions.
Thus here what I want to imply is I had a goal of getting a Hawaiian Guitar and and to play it to my satisfaction. But instead of getting frustrated as I was unable to it immediately I made a make shift arrangement with my banjo to live my life and enjoyed playing it. While doing so I Have shown my determination and craze towards the instrument which my father could make it out to present me with my dream instrument!
So in life we all have some set goals and these goals will take their own sweet time to get accomplished. Till that time we have the part of our life which needs attention and care to live and enjoy, which I thing every one should remember and implement! Thanks dear for initiating such an interesting topic and it was a pleasant piece of job for me today to have worked upon in the form of response!

I somehow believe in this but I feel that a life time should be lived to achieve multiple goals... the goal, Living life to the fullest is rather vague for me.. I live life everyday accomplishing many goals .. I classify my goals as short term.. to be accomplished within a year, medium term goals that could be accomplished between 1 to 5 years and long term goals to be accomplished between 5-10 years.
