How do you manage to earn in pay to click site?

I'm just wondering if there really a big chance to earn decent money in pay to click site. They said that if you make some investment and have referral you will really earn at least ten to 20 dollars a day. I just want to ask, what if I can't have direct referrals due to large number of population already registered in that site. And if I'm willing to make investment to upgrade and rent referrals, will I really earn for that? I just want to hear from experienced person please help me. I'm already a member of good ptc site and I want to seriously from that.
