i think I have a resemblance to him,, i like grumble, just like him..
but i like spongebob so much,, he is always happy no matter what. i want to be like him.

I think he is funny. he is like a lot of ppl out there. and spongebob is like what we all should be. not letting life's problems get to him, i wish i could be more like him.

Squidward is meant to be a happy guy, but he was just unfortunate enough to have silly neighbors destroy his happy life. If SpongeBob and Patrick weren't there, his life would've been better, but it would suck the life out of the show. Well, if Squidward was removed from the show, there wouldn't be much conflict, and it would also destroy the show. So, Squidward is a vital element in the show, even though he is a contrast to SpongeBob's happy-all-day attitude.

what a fun discussion to respond to 
for kids, squidward seems too boring and is the total opposite of spongebob. but in hindsight, i like him. hehe. i think he normally is just being too organized and its not in his personality to be too jolly like how spongebob and patrick are. actually i find his views more sensible. there are few episodes he can be nice too. i think i am like him
