When I used linux, I had a few flaws with power management on my laptop and I couldn't get my favorite apps. I am back at xp and found a kde package. I use stuff like cashgopher and money making sites, sometimes i get too many popups. How do i keep my xp distro clean.

I have anti-spyware software on my laptop aswell as other security software but to keep my laptop free of cookies that are not needed all the time i delete internet cookies that i know i don't need. There is some software that deletes all unwanted files that computer systems automatically save but i can't remember what its called.

As darkblink already said, get a good antivirus and a good anti-spyware program. As for that, I recommend Spybot, you can get it for free on their official site: http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html I hope that helps, take care! :)

Use good antispyware program&Destroy or MalwareBytes and defragment your computer every once in awhile. Also, uninstall programs you don't use often.

First of all install an antivirus and an anti spyware. I recommend you use Malwarebytes for extra protection which does not conflict with your antivirus and also McAfee stinger. Second, clean your pc using ccleaner or other appz that cleans your drive and annoyances. Third, Download at your own risk! And the last, scan your registry and look for suspicious files.
