I believe in the big bang theory and the evolution. The reason is because it's more logical and scientific...I think this topic is gonna bring up alot of arguments =/

I'm kind of entertained by discussions like this because they assume either side has enough information about the other to come to a real conclusion. What can science teach us about things of the spirit? Nothing really, because we haven't yet learned to quantify spiritual things. That doesn't mean science should be ignored, it just means scientific method can't be used to rule out things of the spirit. But it isn't just science that seems bent on making conclusions without sufficient data. Let's look at the arguments Creationists use to try to discredit "The Big Bang". The assumption is that we have some kind of timeline in the Old Testament. Sure, we have a general one, but even that one isn't "Gospel". Where in the OT does it say that nothing existed at all prior to God saying "Let there be light"? It does say that He created the earth in Gen. 1:1, but never says he did it at the same time. Nor does it say anything about how long earth was "without form" or the time between creating "the deep" and when "moved upon the face of the deep" and uttered the now famous words (which is assumed begins time as we know it, but never once is that expressed. How long was Adam in the Garden before God yanked out a rib and added Eve? Since the Bible does say that the garden was "eastward, in Eden" we can see that it didn't encompass the whole earth (or even all of the dry land). So what was going on with the rest of the planet during the unknowable amount of time? The really funny part is, there is little animosity between believers and non believers among scientists. There are many who believe in Christ, others who believe in the God of the Old Testament, and still others who follow some other religious or spiritual path. There are also many who have decided to be atheists or agnostics. When I've asked friends of mine who are scientists about how they respond to the ridicule from atheistic colegues, the answer is almost always "what ridicule". On the other hand, they are often hit with ridicule from people who aren't scientists at all.

What do you believe? if you can imagine that all of a sudden this world in all it's beauty and wonder all of a sudden just "happened" that is just an opinion you are entitled to. just as it is science's "theory" that cannot be proven no matter how long they have been trying to do this. If you believe in a wise creator who has unlimited knowledge and ability then you would be agreeing with me and millions of others who say, this world could not have "just happened" with one "big bang" it's really up to you.

Scientists believe that about one hundred billion years ago the Earth, the Sun, and all the planets of the Solar System were nothing but a cloud of cold dust particles swirling through empty space. Gradually, these particles were attracted to each other and came together to form a huge spinning disk. As it spun, the disk separated into rings and the furious motion made the particles white-hot. The center of the disk became the sun, and the particles in the outer rings turned into large fiery balls of gas and molten-liquid that cooled and condensed to take on solid form. Four or five billion years ago, they turned into the planets that we know today as Earth, Mars, Venus, and the outer planets. This first eon in which the Earth existed is what is known as the Hadean period, named after the Greek word “Hades” (underworld) which refers to the condition of the planet at the time. During this time, the Earth’s surface was under a continuous bombardment by meteorites, and volcanism is believed to be severe due to the large heat flow and geothermal gradient. Outgassing and volcanic activity produced the primordial atmosphere. Condensing water vapor, augmented by ice delivered by comets, accumulated in the atmosphere and cooled the molten exterior of the planet to form a solid crust and produced the oceans. This period ended roughly 3.8 years ago with the onset of the Archean age, by which time, the Earth had cooled significantly and primordial life began to evolve. As the surface continually reshaped itself over hundreds of millions of years, continents formed and broke up. The continents migrated across the surface, occasionally combining to form a supercontinent. Roughly 750 million years ago, the earliest-known supercontinent of Rodinia began to break apart, then recombined 600 – 540 million years ago to form Pannotia, then finally Pangaea, which broke apart 180 million years ago, eventually settling on the configuration that we know today.

Thanks for your detailed and fully explained answer! I know about Big bang and God but i just wanted to know what people think about them.

Big bang seems the most logical one.

and what made it to bang? if some other force got created? how did it get created?...does science have any logical answer to this?....

Yeah, i think i agree with you too, Big bang is the most logical answer to how earth is created

Don't all those bible stories leave out specific details?? I haven't seen DNA in it anywhere. It's clear the universe is complex indeed. Simple answers aren't answers. God did create the universe to unfold in such a way that it can be discovered how. With the complexity of it all, this will take mankind some time. Step by step, we will get there.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1, New International Version) The Universe could only be the work of an intelligent, powerful God. How exactly He did it, we are still learning.

BOTH! :D I think that God alligned everything perfectly so the Big Bang would happen. From that, the Earth was created by all that carbon and hydrogen and helium floating around in space. And then, it was voidless. It had nothing on it. God chose that planet and thus the seven day creation began. However, whether or not it was seven day human time can be argued. But I think the seven days was seven day God timing so it took a lot longer than what we consider seven days.

God created the universe. Bing Bang is only the way. Up to now, the length of universe is still developing and developing, as in Koran stated thousands years ago. It is a fool if somebody disbelieves the creation. The first life was generated from amino acid, and this thing cannot be created through natural process. Amino acid developed to be protein, and no human beings even can create protein. So, all the theory of evolution are completely wrong. God just say His words to create anything, including universe, earth, and creatures. Back to amino acid, now human beings can create it, but remember, they create it through a complex mechanism supported by high technology and under high control. It is impossible to say that amino acid was created by nature or developed from the atom. It is no different if I say something like this: I have a garage. In that place, I put old iron, cable, broken wheel, plastics, and any garbage. Then, a hurricane come and mess up my garage. Suddenly, when I opened my garage after hurricane gone, I was so shocked. There was a Boeing 707! I thought, all the stuffs there messed up by hurricane creating this Boeing. See the universe, see the earth. How come those anti-God simply say that anything was created by the brainless universe through impossible natural process? Even there is no single evidence that is free from manipulation of those fake scientists!
