Are you selfish about your money making techniques?

I have many friends who are also into making money online. I've noticed a few of my friends are very closed in about their money making techniques and act like it's a secret they don't want to share with others. I am more open about it and tell my loved ones whenever I get the chance especially if they are going through hard times.
Some of my friends will message me in private asking me about how I make money and everything, and I always wonder why they want to be so secretive about it. If you are secretive about your money making techniques, why don't you want to share your knowledge with others? I can understand not wanting to tell EVERYONE about it, but why not tell your close friends and family? I love helping them out.
I guess I can see how it can be annoying cause sometimes people who hardly talk to me all of a sudden message me when they find out I make money online...Which is insulting and I understand why people wouldn't want to enlighten people who do that, but friends and family, I LOVE teaching them how to make more money online!

Yes, I know. People are like that. It seems like they do not want others to have the same blessings that they have. If you ask them, they will tell about other things and will not tell you the real score. I do not think that is being kind.

I am just new on money sites though my bf has been into this for quite some time. He's been sharing most of his techniques but I guess if you'll not go check it yourself it's makes things a lot complicated. What I can only share are my most effective marketing strategy on online selling. But a lot of times, my words look jargon to them which kinda makes me sad. But I am a selfless person when it comes to money and how to evenly.

I don't keep it as secret and share it with anyone who ask at me..even the person is someone from chat room..I loose nothing teaching them..I believe sharing is caring..some people/friends helped & explored to me how I can make money from the internet and I does same to others..for me ,it is just a way to say thanks to those who helped me.

I'm not selfish about the sites I use. But I know on some sites I use online, there is little or no interest in earning how I do, so I don't regularly share that type of info there. But I do always fill out my profile where ever I go with at least a link to my blog.
I'd recommend you fill out your profile here with at least some of the sites you use. Would get less more referrals. Along with less messages from ppl you barely know asking you what sites you use.
Although I can understand being secretive in some fields of earning, as competition can really affect your earnings. But for the most part, it's better to share the sites you use.

Sometimes it can lead to problems if a site gets too popular and maybe that is the reasons why some people want to keep their knowledge to themselves. Sometimes a site gets to popular that it is no longer able to pay all of the members and the person who shared the site with his friends will lose his earnings that way. I have seen that in past, and when people experience that they might become afraid to share their knowledge next time.
Personally I am not secretive about my money making techniques. I have experience with different kinds of sites and I have learned a lot since I started a couple of years ago. When I started I had no one to guide me or ask for advice, and I made mistakes and I was scammed in the beginning. If I can help other people avoid the same mistakes by sharing my experience with them I will be happy to do so. I have helped friends in that past, and I will keep on doing that.

Depend's from the methood that you use to earn online and the service used for that .
so basically sometime's it's bether to keep the "Earn Online Methood" off the "Usual Anonymus Surfes" sight , as this methood bring's you more money if you doo it alone , rather that the same method is performed by severall members .

Some people are just like that, I don't understand why. If you tell people all your techniques they will be happy... and then you can draw them in to be your referral... THEN you will make good money off them because they know your techniques, you'll both be raking in the cash.

For me yes I am when it comes to certain sites. My reason for this is I don't want a bunch of people joining a site that has been paying me well for years to end up getting to many members and dropping my payments or worst closing down. The ones that openly share on here are trying to build their down lines which is fine and all but for some site its better to work it yourself then try to get a bunch of active referrals.
I will share mine but I only share them with people I know that will be able to use them and won't abuse their earnings systems because this is how they get shut down. So I kind of understand where people are coming from.

For me, not, I would like to share it with my friends because in this way I ll get referral and it ll increase my earnings. If I am not sharing this is my own fault and it ll not increase my income, I ll like if any of my friends wants info on this and signed under me.... cool

If I could figure it out myself I would definitely share. I find that people (even those who claim to be friends) rarely want to share their secrets. It is frustrating, and if I ever get it figured out I will gladly share with others, because I know how hard it is when you really NEED to make money at home and can't.
I understand people have to keep some things to themselves, I just don't think I would.

Not at all, I make money sending greeting cards and teaching others how to make money doing the same. PM me and ask me how!
