Ok fellow Mylotters, I need your help. I need a new laptop in a big way, I was trying to skip the windows vista disaster so now that windows 7 is here it's time to get a new computer.
So what do you reccomend? Let me tell you what I like to do on my laptop and you can give me your best reccommendations.
I use microsoft office A lot, excel and word mostly. I also like to put my pictures on my computer and keep them organized. I love using photoshop (although my current computer doesn't have enough memory to run ps right now :( ) I also like to use the internet a lot for games, money makng, chatting, facebook and message boards.
These are all things my computer will HAVE to be good for.
I also like to make videos on my computer. My sister has a mac so I use hers and use imovie. Does anyone if there are any good pcs with video making software already installed?
Thanks for your help! And before you suggest it, I don't want a mac!

I have a question for you is there anything wrong with your current PC.
What type of Intel you Have?
How much Ram is on your Laptop?
How much Memory you have on there?
Personally all I can say is upgrade it. Buy Windows 7 Disk the starter, Family, single Pack, and etc. instead of buying a whole new computer that will most likely turn into the one you have now since you like to edit videos and photo shop which is alot. If you have NetBook I recommend you to get a laptop but you say you have a Laptop so just upgrade it.
Once you answer those question I can give you some Good Recommendations. :)

Oh okay, sounds like you had this computer for a very long time now and it is just slowly breaking down haha.
I was going to recommend some stuff for you but I guess getting a new laptop will be the best to me just deal with it now and juts save up as much as you can then get a new laptop. After all that when you are going to get your new laptop. Get a portable drive and transfer all your files and programs on there and then transfer it on to a e new laptop if not keep on it and edit it back on there it will save space on your new laptop.
I was going to recommend you to buy a SSD and maybe upgrade the RAM
many Laptops computers, run on a HDD also known as a Hard Disk Drive which is a moving part lol.
The new SSD that some people are getting now are Soild State Drives which is no moving parts and oddest need to search it find it's fast.
The ram also helps as well and both can increase speed lol. Look at ssd videos on YouTube you will find great expamples of it's performance.

I don't know much about computers however my brother in law is a computer engineer so he buys and picks out my computer and he buys Dell for my family, also him and my sister use Dell. So I recommend Dell products, I have tried all sorts of Dell laptops/computers and they last for a long time, never experienced any programs & I have Window 7, works great. My boyfriend bought a Window Vista and returned it too many problems & not compatible with a lot of stuff. Good luck:) By now, I think you've got your laptop!

Nowadays computer has become a most important thing. In our daily life computer has captured a great deal of place. In our day-to-day life computer is becoming a part of our life and we cannot imagine a life without computer these days. There are different types and shapes of computers. Now the most recent one is laptop. It is of differnet shapes, models, colors, etc. Now pocket size laptop is also avialable. easy to carry, easy to use, etc.

Ahmm... Do you really NEED a laptop or you just WANT a laptop. I have a laptop but I bought a desktop because laptops tend to heat faster. Well, anyway, if you want a laptop that's lined to the good ones, I would recommend you choose one from HP laptops. My cousin has one and it's good. The price is good too. Also, about the video making software, ask the salesperson when you buy. Tell them what you're looking for and they'll tell you what fits you. But HP is good and really nice.

I have been using a Toshiba Satellite laptop for some time now, and I am very happy with it. I take it along whenever I travel to keep in touch with my office and to work on the business related projects while travelling too. It has the softwares, Excel, Microsoft Word, and so on.
