Can we apply for a driver's license online here in RP?

At some asian countries other than the philippines it is now possible to get a driver's license by just opening the internet and going on a website. For me it has many benefits because not only will people save time and energy but those who have physical limitations would be able to apply without having to go through a lot of stress and humiliation with going out to public places just to have their driver's license processed. At the moment, I know none that offers the service here in the country. If it doesn't exist here, would you recommend its presence?

as of the moment, that service isn't offered yet here in the Philippines because our government doesn't have the technology to do so. we have to do it the hard way and go to the nearest LTO office and apply for a driver's license. and believe me, when you do you'll be met by fixers and all trying to get money from you because you're clueless with where to start the processing. i actually had my student driver's permit processed by a fixer before and paid way more than what was necessary. when i had applied for a non-professional driver's license, i was lucky enough that someone helped me without asking for a fee or anything. after all that, renewal is just a jiffy since in Cebu we have a Drivers' License Renewal Office in SM City Cebu where processing just takes a day.

well i wish that could happen. but i guess we are more getting backwards. i used to renew my passport on plainly just calling the hot line of DFA and get someone to go here at home to let me sign the papers and pay. after two weeks i have my renewed passport. now i have to get application on line and go to DFA and get on queue. funny but true. i guess this is for the better as what they said, so it would take a lot of years before applying online be possible or renewing something.

yeah it will. before the new way to renew license take effect first the country has to appear modern enough to be eligible for the technology. if the economy improves modernization may take a step further. its all up to us in the end..
