Do you enjoy baked pumpkin seeds? How do you bake yours? How do you eat them with the skin or without? I Love baked pumpkin seeds but like them without the sells =) I had my friend do them for me as I tried last year and didn't seem to turn out as good as hers lol Thank you for reading Stacy

Yes, I love them! I have tried making them different ways-- with or without worcestershire sauce, plain with salt, spicier with seasoning mix, and even butter and cinnamon & sugar. They are all good. I prefer them with the shells on, but without the shells, they are good, too, just not as crunchy. I do think soaking them in salt water overnight really enhances the flavor.

What why did you find the best for you I tried the cinnamon way and maybe I did it incorrect but didn't really care for it. My friend used some seasoning that tasted amazing but of course she won't give me her secert lol.....I would Like to try the overnight with salt that sounds different

the cinammon and nutmeg was my least favorite too, but I used butter instead of oil the second time an liked it better. My "secret seasoning" is Tastefully Simple's seasoning salt. My friend used to sell it and I bought a few bottles! You can also boil them in salt water for quicker results.

You can remove the shells on pumpkin seeds? How? I actually use the whole pumpkin when I get one, so yes, I do roast the seeds as well and enjoy them, but didn't know that the shell could be removed....

yes U eat the pumpkin seeds like sunflower seeds =) I find sometimes its hard to swallow the shell .....Would you mind if I ask what you do with the rest of the pumpkin? Next time you have the seeds try it and let me know how it worked out and how you liked or dislike it =) Thanks for responding Stacy

I love pumpkin seeds; that's the main reason I get a pumpkin each year! I soak them in salty water overnight then roast them in a slow oven until they're barely browned. The problem is that I can't eat just one. I don't think pumpkins have as many seeds as they used to - at least the ones I buy don't seem to.

I have tried pumpkin pie when i was younger, but i never liked the taste of it. My son asked me if he could try it when we were scraping it all out the pumpkin before we carved it for halloween. We cooked abit for him so he could try it but he didn't like it either.

I have never tried baked pumpkin seeds before. i have heard of them though. My late husband used to eat these as a kid. His mother made this special treat every autumn. He always said they were good to eat.

Pumpkin seeds are good for you and I have it daily, especially now that I have Parkinson's and nuts such as walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, flax seed generate or feed the brain. This is what I do with pumpkin seeds. I put these seven nuts and seeds, one tablespoon each, into a small grinder and grind it for less than thirty seconds. I spread it over Greek yogurt in a bowl with a ground apple. This is my evening meal, followed by a banana later on. Since eating this I have no problem with digestion, I feed my brain food, and I have renewed energy.

Yes, I do, but nobody else in my family does. Since we did not have much time this year I didn't even bother roasting any this year. In previous years I have always roasted the ones that we pulled out of our pumpkings when we carved them up. We were having a surprise party the same night so I didn't even mess with it. I just threw them away. I am kind of sad that I did that now.
